“Such a gem. This is one of my top 5 thrift shops ever. Owners have great taste and select/present a wide variety of vintage and handmade clothes, jewelry, decor, and entertainment in a cute shop with chill vibes. We've gotten some of our favorite pieces of art and furniture from here, and appreciate that they keep the prices reasonable (rare trait these days). You can even find jewelry made by the owners AND they do amazing portraits for comission if you ask nicely. Pets and people, both! Look no further for a great gift or treasure hunt when you need a pick-me-up. Never change. Groovy's.”

The owner arranged a time for me to meet with him to look at the table and also arranged for another time for me to pick it up. Not under-stocked, like certainly not barren; maybe just a bit homogeneous. Nothing popped off the shelf for either me or my girlfriend. Everything we did look at was reasonably priced, and the staff seem friendly and vibrant. I just don't necessarily see myself yearning to return particularly often.”

“Talk about a hole in the wall, a hidden gem, or a diamond in the rough! I love thrifting and checking out all the places to do so when visiting a new town. If I were to come back to the twin cities, I would be sure to stop into the Cat and the Cobra! Locating the store was a little harder than anticipated. It is in the back of the parking lot behind the locked door, but it is the first door inside the building. Not to mention the cool vibes and architecture of the building. I highly recommend walking around and checking it out. There was an amazing selection of any article of clothing you were looking for. I would say the majority of the items were typically priced. Some articles hanging were a little overpriced, but the best part was the bins in the back of the store! I found two shirts in the bins that were $5 each! It was a STEAL of a deal for vintage t-shirts in the condition they were in. I got one ESPN shirt and a Strigus 2006 shirt. Not to mention how fun it is to shift through bins to find those hidden gems of shirts. In addition to a more expensive rainforest cafe t-shirt that was hanging on the walls of shirts. Overall, the service, selection, and value of the store and its articles were top-tier for vintage thrift! I highly recommend stopping in!”

The fact that the post new sizes for their dresses makes shopping for old dresses soooooooooo easier. They also do a pretty good job of rotating in and out their inventory, so you can go back reasonably often and find new stuff.”

“The shop repaired the wicker seat from a rocking chair that had been in my family for many years. The seat was replaced nicely without damage to the chair, but I was a little disappointed that the stain of the new seat did not quite match the stain of the back of the chair. It took 3 months' time and almost $300, to give an idea for other customers. I was happy to give the time and money to support a small local business; but I am still disappointed that the stain didn't match, which is the kind of detail that I also expected from a small business. At any rate, at least they were nice.”

I can always find something here and my style and body has changed a lot in the almost 15 years I've been shopping here. They really support their community in numerous ways and are very transparent about their processes and practices. If you're looking for a super sugary customer service experience that's curated to make you feel good (ie super fake), this probably isn't your place.”
