“I have another review of hospital posted 3/2025 under my name Lisa Kasen (this user name is blogger/activist name) and I have been coming to this hospital for over 20 years. While granted I've had less than stellar ER visits and inpatient admits, I'm not always the easiest patient to treat. I presented in ER evening of 4/27/26. after checking in and running to the bathroom where I had been hyperemetically and projectile vomiting in ladies room (sorry to the patients and visitors who that might have effected) for one hour of projectile vomiting upright and the next hour lying on the floor, not being able to move. I had come in as I have a complicated bariatric and general surgery history w/some vomiting blood over the weekend and severe abdominal pain. I'm writing this 2nd review for a reason. My attending Dr. Collins will hopefully will understand my mentioning my first encounter with him was not great in May of 2024. When I saw him though the 2nd time 10 months later he profusely apologized and then when I ended up with him 3x later in 2025 and Monday night he was WONDERFUL all 4 times, just like all the staff from check in after being covered in vomit to nurses and Dr Leone who took over Dr Cousins was amazing, too. My 5 admits last year (my inpatient admits again span over 20 years like my ER visits) the care was great and again I'm not always the easiest patient to deal with and can get frustrated as I'm hard to medicate and am a lightening rod for side effects and complications and after a couple of days w/meds not working NPO, I can be kind of abrasive and out of it, I try as a medical activist to make sure staff still feels safe and comfortable with me. I'm not just writing review as a patient but I am also a medical activist for BOTH patients and physicians and other clinical providers. I am more likely, unknowingly and not intentionally be more difficult when I am in a lot of pain, I'm not saying I never had a physician who could've had a better bedside manner but I do trust the care I get at this hospital. I hope others who see this review and are quick to judge with some of the reviews on here that seem unnecessarily harsh, that maybe wait a little bit, before writing a horrible review , if you left the hospital, in better shape than when you came in and aren't pain riddled. Especially with the pressure physicians and hospitals are under even prior to COVID, I guess it helps for me to look at it, if I'm not capable during an admission that if a provider is not showing a reckless rude and indifference approach to my care, it's usually easier to see the efforts being made to help me, even if provider isn't super kind, once I'm feeling better. But my care on 4/27 and 4/28 from check in staff, nurses and Dr. Collins and Dr. Leone was WONDERFUL and I was slightly out of it (I'm pretty "clinically saavy") where I couldn't advocate for myself and no one gave me a reason to need to do so. I took the time to write a detailed review because I hope to benefit this hospital. But if patients for whatever reason don't care for this one, at least care enough about the hospitals locally you do care about and appreciate their care. You don't have to become a medical activist or physician, clinical staff or first responder ally but don't make things harder for these populations of people, just if one thing rubbed you the wrong way, especially if you're reviewing impulsively and haven't given time to think things through where you possibly could be right the provider was the problem, but such as in my case where I've thought in the past the provider was the problem, but truthfully, I was the problem. Again, thank you so much staff at FUMC-East Bank for your thoroughness in dx/differential and kindness and consideration of my care. Alissa "Lisa" Kasen p.s. I don't know if this post can be forwarded to Dr Leone and Dr Collins and nurses on 2nd shift 4/27 and latenight shift ”

“Staff is great, super friendly. Infusion always goes well. Chairs are horrible; they're worse than airplane seats. Bring your own pillow to help with comfort.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the drug pickup experience at Target Shoreview CVS. The line is usually short or nonexistent and the staff is always friendly, using presenting a delightful smile or pleasant welcome. The speed and ease of delivery at the counter, along with the checkout is phenomenal. Also, the pharmacist is there to assist with any questions or suggestions to find other products to purchase in the Target store. Today, the CVS team member also wrote down some more suggestions to find on the Target shelves to assist with my request. She was very kind, wonderful and portrayed a helping smile. Thanks for all the high level service at CVS.

2nd trip

Thanks to your terrific and caring staff, who are always polite and courteous when I approach the counter for service.
Every time I’ve picked up a prescription, there is always a warm and continuous smile from the CVS employees, which immediately adds to the experience.
With ardent professionalism, the workers request the name and birthdate, then expedite the transaction smoothly and completely, thereby allowing me to move quickly to finish shopping within the Target store.
These dedicated employees always ask if I need a bag for my prescription and nicely staple the receipt, which is always a nice touch.
Thanks again for the wonderful and over-the-too service”
