“Love love love.. but I didn't buy anything.. the mid century stuff is not worth THAT much.. believe me I have an entire house full. It got so expensive I just propbly won't go next visit”
“I have purchased a number of things from this store and have always been completely satisfied. Recently, I had been looking for a vintage dining room table that would be large enough to fit a large number of people. I found a table at MAD that was PERFECT. The owner arranged a time for me to meet with him to look at the table and also arranged for another time for me to pick it up. He was outstanding and very flexible with me given this crazy time of the year. Very grateful for all of it.”

“Most professional and reliable tailoring in Minneapolis. I've been using sewbiz for a decade and have always received the best tailoring for suits and casual clothing.”
“Great vintage store. I go for their vintage toys, but they have clothes, records, books, and lots more. I always find something to take home with me. The owners are welcoming and nice.”
“Five out of five stars - I highly recommend u visit this beautiful, charming, impeccably organized boutique! They have the coolest, cutest, most one-of-a-kind apparel, & accessories. The Sales Associates are amazing! Their attention to detail & pride of service made my shopping experience truly transcendent! Yayyyy for fashion & power to the small business owners everywhere!”
“b. is the best. Their inventory changes regularly and they announce big deals via their Instagram when their racks get full, for example they just had a big dress sale. I can always find something here and my style and body has changed a lot in the almost 15 years I've been shopping here. They really support their community in numerous ways and are very transparent about their processes and practices. If you're looking for a super sugary customer service experience that's curated to make you feel good (ie super fake), this probably isn't your place.”
“Went to my first Pokemon event here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better welcoming. Friendly staff, great players, and I won $50 store credit! Definitely coming back!!”
“Hidden gem! this place is a labyrinthine maze of cool treasures around every corner. As another review said, I also got lost through CDs in the basement. The music selection is vast and more curated than your average antique store (I am used to sorting through massive stacks of Christmas and church music to find anything that interests me). Employees were all kind and every time my hands were full of things I was going to buy, one would appear to offer to bring it to the front for me so I could continue to browse. Will absolutely be coming back, hopefully for years to come.”
“There are too many fantastic items in the jewelry case. It's a great place for unique gifts and the closest thing to shopping from a Time Machine that I've found. The owner was very patient with me and showed me every sparkly thing that caught my eye.
She mentioned that she is searching for an awning out front... she was nice... so if anybody has a spare rounded white business awning that resembles a clam... let her know.”
“A thrift store with a decent sized mens collection?! No way! Plenty of mens jackets, shirts, and sweaters! I actually managed to find a long wool overcoat there (in my size!) what wasn't 50% polyester for sub $100. The outercoat itself was wool with a nylon lining. Plenty of old grandpa sweaters, which always rock, and flannels.
This store 100% has my future business.”
“I've been shopping here for years now and it's one of my favourite spots in the Twin Cities. First of all, the owners are just really kind and welcoming people. Secondly, it's one of those shops where I never come away empty handed. Lots of well selected cool vintage items, a nice selection of clothes and there's always some great records in stock. It's well organised and even the music playing is usually great. Just a really cool place to check out.”
“Talk about a hole in the wall, a hidden gem, or a diamond in the rough! I love thrifting and checking out all the places to do so when visiting a new town. If I were to come back to the twin cities, I would be sure to stop into the Cat and the Cobra! Locating the store was a little harder than anticipated. It is in the back of the parking lot behind the locked door, but it is the first door inside the building. Not to mention the cool vibes and architecture of the building. I highly recommend walking around and checking it out. There was an amazing selection of any article of clothing you were looking for. I would say the majority of the items were typically priced. Some articles hanging were a little overpriced, but the best part was the bins in the back of the store! I found two shirts in the bins that were $5 each! It was a STEAL of a deal for vintage t-shirts in the condition they were in. I got one ESPN shirt and a Strigus 2006 shirt. Not to mention how fun it is to shift through bins to find those hidden gems of shirts. In addition to a more expensive rainforest cafe t-shirt that was hanging on the walls of shirts. Overall, the service, selection, and value of the store and its articles were top-tier for vintage thrift! I highly recommend stopping in!”
“Always caring staff, the Church staff from St.Olaf downtown and the Badilica of St.Mary also downtown inform about their services too, besides these churches own community outreach.”
“I walked in with an agenda ! I have shopped successfully and soul fulfillingly here in years past. I had a hunch they could set me up. I had an event in two days and with some specificities Hailey had 6 dresses picked out and waiting for me to try on within 10 minutes flat. I tried them all but fell in love with the first. She had the perfect jewelry and purse too. I was all set and out the door in 25 minutes. Delightful experience and so grateful! The fit was perfect ! Those Hailey’s! ✨”
“this store is the best for finding vintage clothes thanks kitty and liza for buying vintage things from me hopefully you guys can forgive me for writing a bad review,it wasnt true and hopefully we can move on. signed melvin ollie”

“The shop repaired the wicker seat from a rocking chair that had been in my family for many years. The seat was replaced nicely without damage to the chair, but I was a little disappointed that the stain of the new seat did not quite match the stain of the back of the chair. It took 3 months' time and almost $300, to give an idea for other customers. I was happy to give the time and money to support a small local business; but I am still disappointed that the stain didn't match, which is the kind of detail that I also expected from a small business. At any rate, at least they were nice.”
“Great selection! Some of the reviewers here clearly don’t know the effort that goes into not just being a shop, but also PRIMARILY a safe space for many women to gather. Me being a customer comes secondarily to me financially supporting this space.”
“This place had a fantastic selection of vintage clothing. The prices reflected the fact that this store was much more curated so be prepared to shell out a bit more. I got a nice University of Minnesota sweatshirt and some jeans here. Will come back next time I'm in Minneapolis”
“Walked in and was welcomed immediately. New tech screen showing you inventory. Not a crazy selection but Bill is a solid guy. Gave me a fair cash offer for a pair of kicks. Bill was very personable. It was appreciated. 5 stars”
“This is my NEW favorite clothing store! There’s sooo many different styles of clothes & they are priced at…WOW what I would suggest they cost! Definitely check this place out if it’s your style of clothing.”
“Betsy (owner) is amazing!! She’s got a great rotating selection of femme dresses/tops. Plus a $5 bargain rack. 😄😄😄”
“Dangerous and delightful! :) I absolutely love GH2 for a variety of reasons!! First of all the hunt and thrill of surprise. Because it is a slightly used second hand store you never know what your going to find, which designer, what year, what style. Its a thrill finding both new and modern, and classic and vintage. I'll get lost for hours in this shop, even though its organized, clean, friendly, and not overwhelming. I love the fact (and maybe it just helps me feel better about shopping) that I'm repurposing, re-wearing quality clothing and not having it go to waste. Prices range from high high end to affordable. But the best thing is its uniqueness. I am one who wants to get something one of a kind, different, show stopping, that only I will be wearing, and this is where I go. Because of its non conventional inventory, you get unique pieces not otherwise found in Minneapolis which allows you to stand out in the best way having those pieces no one else will. Everything I purchase from GH2 I get constant compliments on, feel regal in designer thats affordable to me, and know I will be the only one in it that evening. Styles range from classic to funky, from vintage to futuristic, from Americana to Parisian, young to wise, casual basics to ball gowns. They have shoes, accessories, scarves, winter ware, bags. You just never know what will be on those racks ready for you to discover. If you're seeking something special don't be afraid to ask. Thats how they showed me my favorite satin ball gown skirt. They also BUY! I haven't myself sold anything to them but know that they do take in and purchase designer clothing off hand. So thats that, if you're looking for unique, one-of-kind, affordable designer, pieces to add to your wardrobe, go on the hunt here at GH2. Good luck, you're going look stunning :)”
“Outstanding selection and great prices. Clothing is beautifully organized according to type of clothing, size, and color. Sell the clothing that’s just clogging up your closet and use the money to buy fresh new beautiful clothes here.
I am very clothes conscious from have watched all 10 seasons of WHAT NOT TO WEAR. ? On many days, everything I’m wearing came from this exact store with the exception of my underwear. ?
Highly recommended. Just don’t buy the cute jackets before I get there.”
“The gentleman that works in the back is really awesome and helpful. I always hope he is working when I stop in, it's great to see a familiar face!
I had furniture delivered to my apartment and they went above and beyond getting all the way up to and in my apartment even when the elevator was out of order. Couldn't have done it without them.”
“Best kids shoe selection of any of the chain stores! Like every kind of shoe and every size is here, they are a little slim on toys, but they really have a lot of infant wear and the clothes are color coordinated. It looks real clean in here and is really the place to go to for clothing and shoes. All of these bins have shoes!”
“This is a review of the drop off site. Which needs a separate Google Maps entry.
Hours same as the attached thrift store. Household good bins separate from clothing bins.”
“Best staff and service. Matt sight manager has been very helpful and is Knowledgeable about the furniture brands and quality. Thanks for a great experience with each visit. Theresa”
“Great clothes for cheap prices, some workers are so sweet and nice but some are a little rudey, but hope u get the ones that greet you with a smile and don’t stare, overall decent place, seems like they take a lot of clothes because of the brands they got”
“Beautiful selection! I always look for places for bones and bug-related taxidermy, and they had plenty of it plus other very neat “trinkets” (and much more. I’m really down-selling it saying that, tbh). I was also surprised that the pricing was not as bad as I thought it was going to be (sorry, Mpls. I do expect unnecessarily overpriced things there), and my kids and I ended up getting a few things. Also, and very important anywhere you go, the staff there was so kind and helpful! We will definitely be going back — a lot. It was amazing!”
