“We went here for July 4th. Very nice place the rooms are very clean the service is very nice. The pool could have more seating around it, but at the end of the day great little getaway and the bar area is very nice and the restaurant was very good. We will definitely be back there for a quick weekend!”

“Great place! We are repeat customers. The location right on the beautiful Gulf beach is awesome. The rooms are spacious and offer lots of amenities including a view of the Gulf. The swimming pool is a welcome respite. We appreciate the ability and convenience of renting beach chairs and umbrellas. Finally, the breakfast that's included with the room is a real perk, especially when traveling with kids.”

“My family and I had a wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive to anything we needed. The room was very clean, quiet, and up to date, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was great and well attended to, with everything stocked and fresh. The pool was a huge hit with the kids they had so much fun and looked forward to swimming every day. The level of customer service really stood out, and it was clear that the staff genuinely cared about making guests feel welcome. Overall, we had an excellent experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and family-friendly place to stay!”

“This hotel was in a great location right near the beach and lots of restaurants. The rooms looked outdated but exceptionally clean!! Very spacious too. Sabrina at the front desk (I am assuming that’s her name as it was on her necklace) was incredibly helpful and kind. The free breakfast was small but nice, and the woman working the breakfast was nice and friendly. The pool water was very murky and we could not see to the bottom of it.”

“Quint inn located within a quiet historic neighborhood. Our unit offered two queen size beds, generous closet, full bath, kitchenette and living space. We could see the ocean from the sofa or the front porch bench. A walkable neighborhood with sidewalks and two small parks, one with a gazebo. A great value in an excellent location near shopping, beaches, coliseum, and casinos but feels off the beaten path.”

“I give them 5 stars across the board. The place is well maintained for the most part. It's not brand new. It's not a luxury motel. Regular folks stay here. It's located right across from our favorite eatery, Shaggys on the beach. The staff is great. One example being, I'm up very early and this morning at 3:45 am I asked the man at the front desk what coffe would be available. He said give me 15 minutes and I'll have some. A few minutes later, I was sitting outside at a table enjoying the breeze when he came outside to let me know the coffee was ready and even offered to bring it out to me. By then, its barely 4am! We travel alot and I've never been offered such a thing at that time of the day. Not at an affordable motel anyways. For me, it's the little things that make a difference. Breakfast is at 6am which is nice for us early risers. So, I recommend this place. If you are someone that just wants their money's worth, you will enjoy your stay...”

“The milkshake was a little pricey at $17. But, it came with a slice of pecan pie. It was also very big and tasted great. We purchased it to share, but I had second thoughts after taking a sip. I did get the pecan pie. I would get again.”

“I lived at Southwind for 2 years. Quite honestly I really enjoyed it. Management was fine and I never had any serious issues that wasn't dealt with in a somewhat timely manner. Recently a new company purchased the complex and brought in a new management team. This team was on point. The ladies in the office Mrs Teresa and Mrs Linda were absolutely stellar. The positive energy radiates from them. They were very helpful in assisting me in my exit from the property and into my new home. Thank you so very much.”

“We had a group come for a vacation for high school boys, and it ended up being a great save since our Airbnb was in hospitable. The price is great and the rooms are pretty good, especially for guys. They’ve complementary coffee, which is excellent in a microwave downstairs which is slightly inconvenient but still OK. There was some mold on the ceiling that I noticed, which was a bit disturbing but as far as the overall stay, the pool and the rooms were clean. It came in clutch for us they can come in clutch for you.”

“Rooms are what you'd expect for the price. Nothing fancy. Heat and air works. In a great location. That's why I usually stay here. Not far from anywhere. Edgewater is more expensive and WAY crappier rooms. Last one i stayed in had naked wires out and could access the hot water heater... So, Star Inn is where I'd go if you're not the uppity type.”
