This review is going to show my naivety, but maybe it will save you a few hundred dollars. I was due for an oil change and before I could schedule it myself, Toyota of Meridian called me to offer a promotional rate of $39 on the oil change. I was happy to accept the offer and scheduled my service appointment. After dropping my car off, I received a call from one of the service advisors about additional services my vehicle needed (mainly the fuel induction service). I stupidly assumed these were part of the regular routine maintenance recommended for my vehicle. When she offered the A/C refresh service, I mentioned I would need to check with my husband, and she quickly told me that I didn't really need that service done. I appreciated the honesty and assumed I was being properly advised on the other services. It's purely my fault for not asking the cost up front, but I've taken my car to this dealership for service ever since I bought it, so I didn't expect a situation that would lead me to feel I was taken advantage of. When I got my bill, my $39 oil change turned into over $330, including the $175 fuel induction service that is not listed in Toyota's official factory maintenance schedule for the Highlander. While I take responsibility for not asking for the prices up front, I had trust in this dealership as I have been a repeat customer and didn't think they'd offer me such expensive services without telling me. I was stupid and naive - don't be like me. Make sure to check which maintenance services are required for your vehicle and always ask up front about costs. I feel as if I was deceived and it has negatively impacted my relationship with Toyota of Meridian. They have always provided good service up until now, but I will be taking my car elsewhere in the future because I've lost that sense of trust.”
