“This is older style grocery store locally owned and apparently has an amazing beer fridge (son that is college aged). But what I have been wanting to try is their breakfast and lunch bar. I couldn't find the hours for the bar printed anywhere (6a-9:30a). I just assumed breakfast would be until ten. So made it at 9:35. Most of it had been taken away, but asked if I could still be served with what was left. Lots of looking left and right trying to decide. Finally said yes if I was ok with what was out. I had scrambled eggs bacon and a biscuit. It was very good. Not saying it would be as good as an atlanta breakfast place like Callie's hot little biscuit. But it was good and $2.45. Lunch (10:30 or 11a until they run out which apparently is between 2-3p). I had Lima beans black eyed peas and rice with a yeast roll (or cornbread or spicy cornbread). $5. It was good. Hot and hit the spot. Not amazing. But good. I would go back.I expected the staff to be nicer and friendly since they are locally owned and operated. However, the staff at the bar tend to be surly, while the check out staff are always friendly. Not sure if they hate their jobs and owners or just always having a bad day when I go.”

“The only DG I go to. I don't know if that's more out of convenience or because I make friends with all the employees, but either way, their stock is always stocked so I'm always a happy customer:)”
“I love this store. I live less than a mile from the one on Lamar. With that being said, you need to get the air conditioner fixed. And the credit cards have been down for 2 days. It's always going down. You need to update or something. I'm there at least 5 times a week. Please fix it. This is Mississippi and we need air so we can be comfortable when we shop. And I almost never carry cash.”
“At the self check out which I normally use a card but for some reason I chose to use cash. My total was 32.10 but not paying attention I took 50 out of my wallet n put 40 in well it returned 7.90 which confused me bc I thought I still had 10 to pay n the screen read nothing paid... the manager was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. She helped me figure out what happened and sent me with the right amount of change which I was about to leave bc I was so confused as to what happened. She was so sweet and understanding!¡ wish every DG had employees like her. This was Old Taylor rd DG btw. Thank you again”

My husband and I ordered a salad to split and then each had our own entree, it was definitely the way to go to not be to full. Looking forward to trying different dishes next time (maybe)”

She was nice enough to bring to my attention that I could save some money by using coupons that I could access with the Kroger app, which I didn't have. She took the time to set up the app and the account for me on my phone so I could save $13. I very much appreciated the time and attention she shared and saving money was great, too. I was honestly stunned by having such incredible customer service. Many thanks to her! I just wanted management to know what a wonderful job she is doing.”
