I was looking for a location where I could host the entirety of my wedding event from the ceremony to cocktail hour to reception without the hassle of moving people place to place...also a location with a certain uniqueness and charm that you can't quite find everywhere. 8th and Main was the perfect location for this. You can tell that some locations around KC and their staff are just trying too hard. 8th and Main and Courtney are not like this at all. The event space and staff are extremely welcome and communicative and it was the perfect location to host my wedding. I had a great time planning my wedding with the staff here. I was never stressed and always felt like I was in great hands. The prices are fair and my event went off without a hitch. “Came here with my girlfriend for a date, and it was a ton of fun! The employees were so nice and helpful to explain how everything worked, and were very attentive. When you first come in, you can look around and decide which craft you want to do, and then check out at the desk to pay and order your shakes. Then you seat yourself and can get started on your craft. we were there for like 3 hours, and no one tried to rush us. There was a 2-3 week wait for our clay painting pieces to get finished to pick up, but that’s reasonable. Highly recommend this as a cute date or activity spot!”

Im now happly married and rasing my grandson who is 8 now He has lived wit me all his life, but my son passed away in 2014 and him and my husband are the joy of my life.”

“The museum is beautiful inside and out. I'd recommend this stop for kids approximately 6 years old and younger. While both my 4 year old and 8 year old were engaged in the exhibits, it was lacking for my oldest. He expressed multiple times that it was small and there wasn't much there. Although my youngest definitely enjoyed the interactive exhibits. All that said, I do believe it is well worth the $5 admission.”

“Everyone staff member we talked to was super friendly. The hotel and room seemed very clean and taken care of. There was an annoying sound in the room we had that happened periodically, but fortunately when traveling, we always bring a small fan for white noise. The bed was confortable, and we can be picky about that. The one draw back to the hotel is the small breakfast area that becomes very overcrowded in the morning. Overall, happy with our stay here.”

“Admittedly, I was hesitant to book here after reading some reviews about the property being unkept and in need of repair. After staying here I can say this hotel is well kept, well managed and in a fantastic location. It's within walking distance to more shops and restaurants than you can imagine. My first impression was from Kate at the front desk who was absolutely a delight. She was highly knowledgeable and very friendly. The room was clean, smelled great and had a enviable view of the ice skating rink. The view of the Christmas lights was a great touch. Parking was simple and free to the garage just north of the hotel, about a two minute walk.”
