“They have the best made on the spot deli sandwiches I've ever had. The staff are all friendly and helpful. You can tell the difference between locally owned stores verses large retail chain stores. They still carry out groceries to your car if needed. I'm not even from Charleston, but I work there and McClains has become my new favorite place to go for lunch. They greet you like they've known you for years. That speaks volumes and will keep me as a customer for years to come.”

“Great deli food served to about 6pm. Competitive prices. I prefer them to WallyWorld as a rule. I never have to wait in line & much easier access from the road and a much shorter walk from the parking lot.”
“I was almost ran into by an employee pushing a cart. Completely unaware of what happened. They have a lot of carts sitting around with stock to be put away. I understand but watch out.”
“Small store but still well stocked with a good selection of most products. Wonderful meat department and butcher services, meats are high quality and reasonably priced. Deli/bakery had a large selection of deli and bakery items and hot food bar was well stocked and appeared to be hot fresh food available. A little more expensive than other stores in town but occasionally would find a great sale on meat or produce items. Conveniently located, but parking lot is not set up well, hard to navigate your way around it. Most of the cashier's and office staff are not overly friendly and a little standoffish. Store manager doesn't have great people skills, comes across a bit gruff and unfriendly. Store is always well stocked and shelves are neatly organized. Over all an ok store, but I only shop there when I need only one or two items because it's located close to my home. Would usually travel across town to get a bigger selection and better prices. But, the parking lot is usually full and they seem to have a loyal customer base.”
“Normally when you walk into a dollar store you dread it due to the fact the aisles are always messy, inventory in the way, terrible staff, and so on and so forth. NOT this store. You walk in, it smells great, the aisles are free of clutter and inventory. The shelves are stocked, the staff is great and in all my years on earth (35) I have never seen a better looking store.”
“Self-checkout has been shut down and it sucks because now all the lines are longer again and I went there just yesterday to get like some socks and some T-shirts and a pair of pants and stuff for my husband cuz I just got on some shoes and I didn't have my card because I used to pay and Walmart don't even take tap pay. So my advice to Walmart is before you guys want to start implementing all these rules about not doing self-checkout at least get tap pay because 90% of Americans use that now”

“Very nice new Dollar General. Well stocked! Grocery line has fresh produce too! Nice frozen food selection. This store was well managed as it was well organized, very clean, and in an orderly fashion both times we visited. Friendly helpful staff!”
