“I purchased a used tennis wheelchair online a few months ago and recently got a flat tire, which I brought to Wheelhouse Bicycle for repair. Nathan quickly determined that I needed a replacement tire but still spent over an hour trying to rig a temporary solution so I could continue playing sports while waiting for the new tire to arrive. Although he couldn’t find a safe workaround (through absolutely no fault of his own), he refused to accept any compensation for his significant time and effort.

When my replacement tire arrived, I brought it back to Nathan, and he installed it quickly and efficiently. I play wheelchair tennis regularly, and both the chair and tire have been working perfectly ever since.

As someone with very little knowledge about tires, I really appreciated Nathan’s kindness, empathy, and patience. He took the time to educate me on the correct size tires and tubes I needed to order and charged me very little for his services.

“This is a true bike shop in every sense of the word. I live in KC but am in town visiting family and doing a good amount of riding. I busted a spoke on the front of my Mavic wheel. This is a unique wheelset where the spokes are bladed and not threaded through the wheel. They are tubeless ready which means they don't require rim tape. Essentially, they need a specific spoke. Problem is, Mavic went out of business and parts can be tricky to find. I met a guy at another shop I was talking to and he said you got to call Mark. He said Ballwin Cycles used to deal Mavic and Mark has been building wheels for years. He said, Mark will probably be able to help you today. I called the shop and Mark picked up. He said, "I bet I have a spoke that will work and to come on down". It was about a 50 minute drive but as soon as I walked in Mark and one of his mechanics started looking through the Mavic stuff. Mark found a spoke and got it installed on the spot and the wheel is rolling as true as the day I bought it. I was blown away. They even offered me a beer. This place is what I think of when I think of a bike shop. I could have hung out there all day and just talked bikes. Thank you Mark and crew!”

His customer service and just his genuine demeanor are top-tier. He's definitely a guy that you would want to hang out with on the weekend.I bought two bikes from this location in the past couple weeks, and plan on making it a third very soon.
