“You couldn't ask for a better location in town. Easy access to four grocery stores, so many fast food places, and 70/63. The units are fairly priced given the location, and they allow pets as well. I lived there for a good decade, and they were always ready to help if any issues came up.
Easily the best apartment complex I've lived at, and I'll always recommend them when asked”

“I lived in the Anthony St. apartments for two years and after living in this college town and suffering through some of the worst managements at different places, it was such a breath of fresh air to switch to Barzell. Erlina especially was a great person to work with! I had a maintenance issue that made my A/C go out during a heat wave and she came over and fixed it so quickly. It felt like a small business instead of a huge leasing agency that owns a million different properties. Thanks for everything, Erlina & Barzell!!!”
“We moved into Linkside Villa (Calistoga model) in September of 2022. We started our process in August of 2021 with the Linkside Team. Antoinette (the sales agent), Bob and Blake (the builders) were wonderful to work with. They assisted us to pick out our finishes, flooring, colors, and upgrades explaining costs and showing samples. Not many upgrades were required as these units are well appointed with high end materials and appliances. The whole process was excellent and communication between ourselves and the Linkside Team was smooth. We have been in our Villa for 5 months now and unlike our other new builds we have had ZERO regrets or second guessing of materials, colors, and upgrades. This was a significant downsize for us and it fits us and our lifestyle perfectly! The community and neighbors are just what we hoped to find in a 55+ community. Old Hawthorne CC is walking distance with all of its amenities - Dining, Golf, 2 beautiful pools, tennis, pickle ball, and a fully appointed Fitness Center. It is truly Resort Living! Our new neighbors have been very welcoming, cordial, and helpful. We have dinners, get togethers in our community Clubhouse, and Game Nights. We have found our new forever home, and couldn’t be happier!”

“The staff was incredibly accommodating, always ready to help with any concerns I had. On top of that, the maintenance team responded quickly and efficiently to any issues, ensuring that everything was back up and running in no time. the apartment itself has poor soundproofing. You can hear everything from upstairs or downstairs neighbors, whether it's loud music, or even running/jumping. If you're sensitive to noise, this could be a major downside."”
“I have lived here for a little longer than a year. What surprises me the most is how they handle maintenance. I can place a maintenance request at 7 am and they will repair everything at 8 am on that same day. It takes me longer to decide to ask for maintenance than what it takes them to fix issues in the apartment. Overall, it is a very well managed apartment complex”

“Only visited a friend here one time and from that experience I wouldn't mind renting an apartment here. Seems real quite, laundry facility inside the building. Your neighbors are really close is the only downfall. Good parking but a tight fit. The complex looked clean and didn't have a bad smell compared to allot of complex buildings around columbia.”
“Living at DBC has been a wonderful experience! The utilities are included in the rent, and they work hard to keep rent at a very reasonable price. They are super quick and friendly to address any maintenance or service requests - usually the same day! This is a safe area to live in and the two assigned parking spaces has made parking easy.
The staff was very friendly and provided assistance for any extenuating circumstances faced. Thank you for providing a comfortable home :)”
“I would highly recommend this place! This is our third kid at Mizzou and it by far has exceeded any living space that any of them have lived at. Their apartment was immaculate and the process of moving in was so easy! All staff were very friendly and helpful!”

“I’ve lived at the den now for over a year and I’ve loved my time here! For what you pay in rent, you get a ton of value out of it. The amenities are fantastic and they just redid the gym a few months ago. Management has events monthly with treats and giveaways for residents. I am already planning on resigning my lease for next year!”
“We had an apartment tour scheduled through apartments.com and when we arrived, it turned out the office was closing in 9 minutes! The girl at the front desk was so kind to still give us a quick tour and answer all our questions anyways.”
“I've really enjoyed living at this complex the past two years. The property manager, Kayla, is wonderful. She is incredibly responsive, helpful, and genuinely cares about the residents. The office staff is always friendly and willing to help, which makes a huge difference.
Maintenance is fast and reliable whenever something comes up, and the property is well-kept. I also appreciate how quiet the community is and how fair the pricing is compared to other complexes in Columbia.
I would highly recommend living here to anyone looking for a quiet community with a responsive and caring property management team!”
“My partner and I rented a home from Callahan & Galloway for three years. The staff communicated expectations clearly and were quick to respond to our application.
During our time renting, maintenence issues were usually addressed quickly and professionally. Once, our AC went out over a holiday weekend heat wave, and they had someone out ASAP to replace the unit. We also had a new mailbox within a day after it had been knocked over in the snow.
Their app made maintenance requests easy and we were able to set up autopay. The monthly rent was reasonable, and only slightly increased each year that we renewed.
Overall, we had a possitive experience renting and it has been a pleasure working with the staff and maintenence crew!”
“Very quickly responsive maintenance, apartments are well built. There IS an issue of flies in the apartment that I suspect are coming from the drains, but other than that, the place looked really nice. Any issues I’ve had with appliances or otherwise, submitting a ticket through the app is easy and maintenance has come out and fixed every issue we’ve had. My car passenger window did get damaged while sitting in the parking lot but that’s not the apartment management’s fault. Been here a month and we love it here.
**My car was also towed without prior notice given directly. Sure there was a sticker placed on my car but I was away at vacation… however… a call to the property manager and she was awesome. She had my car returned to the complex without any charge due to the inconvenience of no notification.**
Other staff, however, is not helpful. When I called in to ask if maintenance or an outside contractor was working on my building they had no idea whether there was work being completed or not, and the answer was given without any hold or any sort of time period to check up on information related to my request. I was working from home and kept hearing noises that sounded like they were drilling directly through my wall. Absurd. Updated my rating to reflect ongoing issues I’ve had with neighbors stomping at all hours of the night and lack of care on staff side.
Updated back to 4 stars. I have to say… my experience here, despite issues, was enjoyable and aligned with what I payed to be here.”
