“We were in an accident at the 25/K intersection and the trooper asked us to wait for him in Winks while he finished clearing the scene. We arrived to Winks a disheveled huddle of people and they were welcoming as soon as we crossed the threshold. They allowed us to sit in the cafe even though it was cleaned for the evening and they even gave us some delicious food that was about to be thrown out for the evening. It was still hot and such a welcome sight in the middle of a chaotic and miserable evening. Thanks to everyone that was working the night of 12/17 for taking care of our crew.”
