“Zee Bee Market is an incredibly special place. Not only does it ethically source every beautiful handmade product they sell so that you can shop guilt-free knowing that every dollar is helping makers and creators across the globe BUT it also truly cares for its customers and community. I run a non-profit here in St. Louis and was recently fortunate enough to partner with Zee Bee through their Giving Back Days, a program where they partner with local non-profits to help help promote and fundraise. During this program, people from our organization set-up a little info table in Zee Bee and help greet customers. During my time staffing the table, I was honored to witness example after example of Zee Bee nurturing its community by putting people first - every step of the way. From where / who they buy from to how they care for their staff and each other from the phenomenal personal attention they give their customers - even going as far as to remember and acknowledge repeat customers, forming long-lasting relationships that I KNOW change lives.
The Giving Back program is so special not just because we were able to raise some much-needed funds while reaching a whole new audience. But - and maybe even more importantly - it is helping to build a support network of organizations working for and toward creating and fostering community and kindness therein. And isn't that exactly what is missing from so much of today's world?

“SammySoap is truly a standout establishment pure, purposeful, and community-minded. They create meaningful jobs for people with disabilities and care deeply about the environment, which is reflected in everything they do. After a decade in Kirkwood, every visit has been a pleasure. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the store offers a wonderful selection of soaps, decorations, and unique knick-knacks. On most evenings, you can even watch the soaps being made!
While the soaps are on the pricier side, they are free of artificial ingredients and support the community a win in my book. Highly recommended!”

“I’ve been shopping here since they opened and it’s always great. Last night I bought a Wicked baseball hat, when I got home it wasn’t in the bag. I called and they didn’t see anything left behind. I checked my car and retraced my steps because I hated that I paid $22 and never got to even hold it. This morning I went back to see if maybe they found it. They did not find it but the person working did everything they could to make sure I wasn’t leaving empty-handed. They worked their magic and I left with a hat! The biggest point for me is that this person did everything they could to help me. With customer service being what it is I found this to be major. Super grateful!”
“I called to see if they had an item in stock I had seen on the website. The woman checked and said they had one. I told her great, confirmed their hours and said we'd see them shortly. When we arrived a couple hours later we didn't see it. So we asked the man behind the counter who couldn't find it either. I mentioned I'd called and confirmed it was in stock. He checked and the thoughtful co- worker had set it aside for us!! She didn't ask my name or tell me, just didn't want us to be disappointed. You don't find that kind of thoughtful customer service just anyplace!! Truly a blessing as this is a first communion gift for one of our grandsons.”
“Kristin and Kathleen were both very, very sweet and super helpful! I went in to see what they had to offer for Halloween decorations, I was so shocked to see they had all of that and more!
The store is twice the size compared to how it looks from the outside. They had products from women-owned and family-owned brands that each has their own story. Everything from self care, home goods, gifts, and decorations were available to choose from.
I would go back! I went in thinking “I shouldn’t buy anything – I’m just looking!” I left the boutique with 2 products I didn’t know existed and definitely have to gift. Thank you, Kristin and Kathleen!”

Ted Drews specializes in frozen custards referred to as 'concretes' because they're quite thick. You can combine any number of mix-ins to customize the creamy and super-sweet cream base to your satisfaction. They have lots of suggestions to choose from or create your own.
This is definitely a local favorite and a great idea to try during a St. Louis summer!”

“Love this place so much for its vast amount of things to look at and purchase. A couple months ago a friend in my life lost a close dog to him that was a corgi, and his game plan for the mall was to find a plush toy that looks like him to comfort him. I immediately ran to this store and found all the corgis I could (which was a lot!) and he was thrilled to purchase a big cuddly one. I also have bought littlest pet shops and other collectables here before. The staff is so friendly!”
