“It was my first time in the Happy Camper Clothing and I ended up chatting with the owner Stacey about lots of things (Gilmore Girls, Yuka App, the Downtown Scene and much more!). She was incredibly warm and has a genuine passion for what she does and providing quality products is a priority. They, wife and husband duo, design and screen print (self taught!) and their products are so much fun and with positive messages! The store itself is so fun and eclectic, before walking in they had a little sting that you could add on-to and make a wish/share in the positive energy - it was all just very welcoming. Walking in just feels like home; warm, welcoming and bright. When people say support small business this is one that is easy to get behind - all around great people, products, storefront and the owners are top tier. We will absolutely be back”

“Thanksgiving weekend was my first time shopping here. Upon entering, I was struck by the airy, bright yet understated interior--in other words, a preppy paradise. J. McLaughlin offers clothing for men, women, and kids. I didn't see many kids selections in evidence, but the array of clothing and accessories for men and women was ample, and supplemented by a robust sale selection. My mom (shopping partner in crime) and I had fun leisurely perusing the racks. In fact, my mother, who has lived in the area for 15+ years, had never been inside this location of J. McLaughlin. When it came to trying items on, Lynn, the sales associate, was very helpful in terms of placing my items in a fitting room and hunting down alternate sizes both in stock and via the store's computer. I found a couple of items, both on sale (!) that will transition nicely through the seasons. The Sophia Jersey dress in gold and navy is one that I can see pairing with boots and tights in the winter or a simple pair of nude heels in the warmer months. I also snapped up a lightweight cashmere cardigan in coral that promises to brighten the gloomiest of January days. The length is a little bit longer, which I like, and will work well even when the weather warms up. Will definitely be back here and plan to check out the Lake Forest outpost in between visits.”

Because I have lost weight, Mr. Decker amended the measurements of a previous suit that I purchased from him.Mr. Decker is a great guy. He is a scholar and a gentleman. He is a great looking guy. “Stopped in here for some holiday shopping and I was able to pick up a few stocking stuffers. This store has a great variety of items from clothing, to crystals, to cups, to camping stuff. You can find something for ANYONE in here! Cool unique items too! The store is nicely organized and items are clearly priced. When it's busy it can be very tight and difficult to move throughout the store. Opportunity for better signage to find this store - the outside sign says "life is good".”

The stairs may not be easy for people with mobility issues, but there may be elevator, I didn’t get a change to look closely.- Service: well staffed and they were friendly.- Price: reasonable and had good sales going the day of visit.-Parking: plenty and free, it’s a second floor garage that you turn into.-Near other stores: across the street from REI, Whole Foods, Nordstrom rack, Michael’s. Near The Promenade at Brentwood, which is a nightmare in terms of parking but has stores such as Trader Joe’s and Target.”
“I was visiting Minnesota and stopped to do some shopping at MOA. While walking by a store, the Normal Brand caught my eye. I went in and left with two new shirts and a pair of pants. I absolutely love all of them and they have become my new favorite brand. The store manager was very friendly and helpful. I also noticed that the store had a great selection of sizes and styles, which is always a plus. Overall, it was a great shopping experience and I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone looking for stylish and comfortable clothing.”

She was matter-of-fact about what worked and what didn't. I went in there feeling drab, but ended up feeling like I could walk the red carpet at the Oscars! Paulette knew exactly what would work for me in spite of my various imperfections. I recommend her to the highest degree! I will never go to another shop for a special occasion dress when we have such a jewel here with Paulette.”
