“I love this place. My cat had maggots on him and I took him to the Brentwood er veg and sat there for almost 9 hours. Finally the vet (who really shouldn't be one) came and talked to us saying that it would be over a thousand dollars to sedate him and clear it out. So, we waited until morning to take him to the Normandy location and they looked at him and gave him some medicine (which was way cheaper here) and he's doing better. This place is top notch and would recommend coming here instead of the Brentwood er.”

“My daughter had to bring her cat into the office on an emergency. They took her back, no questions asked. Unfortunately, they were not able to save her. ?.
The take away is the compassion that every single one in the office displayed. My daughter was devastated and they gave her all the time she needed to say goodbye. This cat was the best. You think the way she followed my daughter around and waited while she was in the bathroom, that she was a dog. Our hearts are broken.

“We have gone to Cross Keys since our dog was a new puppy, and she is 18 now! We drive from CWE to see them! They saved us a lot of money one time when we went camping and she got covered in tics. Because we wanted to address it immediately but it was Sunday, we went to Banfield who advised us they charge $20 per tic to pick them off. It would have cost us hundreds and we were young and broke back then. I would have done it but first I decided to call Cross Keys, they said just get an over the counter flee collar and they will drop off really quickly on their own, and it worked great and really quickly for $15! Now in her old age they are helping us make sure she stayed healthy and feels comfortable, with what feels like a really honest feedback on what she needs and what matters, vs things they probably could make a buck on but is a natural part of aging and better off left alone at her age. I really appreciate them and have always felt they know what they are talking about so well, and care first and foremost about taking the best care possible of our pup.”

Hillside always gives him fantastic care, so much love and kindness. They will answer every question and give you all the options available. “I’ve been taking my pets to Big Bend Veterinary for years, and I’ve always felt confident that they’re in good hands. Dr. Hooks is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and thorough. He has cared for my dog and two cats for everything from microchipping, spay/neuter procedures, and dental cleanings to tooth extractions, and he’s also been very helpful with questions about behavior and general pet care.
What stands out most is that you can tell he genuinely cares about both animals and the people who bring them in. Him and his team take the time to answer questions, explains things clearly, and I’ve never felt like corners were being cut.

“We struggled to give our cat gabapentin and called the emergency line for help the night before a flight. The team gave us quick instructions on how to administer the medication orally by dissolving the pill in salmon juice and squirting it into her mouth with a soft tip syringe. Thank you team!!”

“I truly cannot thank everyone at Vetco enough for the care, compassion, and support they showed our family during one of the most difficult moments we’ve been through as a family.
Our dog was diagnosed with cancer, and we ultimately had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. She had been a patient here and always loved coming to see the staff. On a day filled with so much sadness, the entire team did everything possible to make her final moments peaceful and comfortable.
They had a room prepared for us, treated her with incredible kindness, and gave our family all the time we needed to be with her. Every member of the staff was compassionate, supportive, and understanding, helping us through an experience that no pet owner ever wants to face.
While I left a piece of my heart there with her that day, the team at Vetco made an unbearable situation a little easier to carry.
I will never forget their kindness, and I will always be grateful for the love and dignity they showed our beloved girl. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Instead of giving up when things became complicated, she had a “let’s problem solve and figure this out together” mentality that meant so much to us during an incredibly difficult time.

“This sweet, handsome, little man ate part of his favorite ball. Called Ferguson Animal Hospital and they had me bring him in( with the ball). Vet, vet tech, and woman in the office were calm, kind, loving, helpful, and extremely supportive. Plus, they helped my little guy and he was good to go in less than an hour! Dr. Dan was not working that day but, I texted him and he responded right away. The Dr. that did help me was very good at her job, too! The vet tech was calm, yet mighty and all were patient with me while they cares for my dog! My little guy Bondi is lucky to have such a wonderful care team! Thank you Ferguson Animal Hospital!!!”
