“We have stayed here multiple times and absolutely love it. It’s a very charming hotel with amazing staff! They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are so nice and spacious. The bathrooms are extremely clean and also very spacious. The Market has delicious food and desserts to enjoy. The location of the hotel is perfect for families because the parks are within walking distance and are beautiful parks. We usually bring our kiddos scooters and ride them around to all the different parks in the area. I could not say enough nice things about this hotel and their amazing staff.Rooms: Spacious and beautiful. Very clean and well kept.Nearby activities: The parks are so wonderful for kids! We love the location.”

“Excellent location and beautiful motel!

Rooms: Beautiful rooms which are super clean. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Tv is a big flatscreen with an updated remote. Bathroom is lacking an exhaust fan but all in all a wonderful room! <3

Safety: Felt safe here. Located in a very nice neighborhood and didn’t feel like I needed to watch over my shoulder.

Food and drinks: Breakfast accommodations were excellent. Lots of choices for a hot meal. Lots and lots of choices for a cold breakfast as well or a combination of both! ;)”

“Stayed 1 night in a standard King hed room and was impressed that it came with a great little kitchenette. (Sink with an additional tap for filtered water, toaster, single serve coffee maker, microwave, a mini fridge, glass food storage containers, and real flatware.) The room and linens were CLEAN, staff was friendly, and the breakfast options were fantastic. As others have stated, my only conplaint was light coming in around and under the door which also created some noise issues when anyone walked down the hall.”

“Was just here for a work conference during the week and we had a wonderful time. The rooms were very spacious, the staff extremely friendly, and the location was great for our group! I hope we get to come back and stay here for our next meeting!”

“This is a really good Hyatt Place. I stay at them frequently and this is one of the better ones. There's nothing to do within walking distance but there's a lot just a short drive away. If you're trying to decide between this and the HP Overland/Metcalf this is far superior.”

“I've stayed here i think 4 times. Multiple nights each time. Little store is convenient that's inside. The coffe is meh... but there is a Scooters is across the parking lot to solve that problem. Bed super comfy and everything is clean.”

“If you are looking for a hotel in the Kansas City metro: stay here. Don't waste your time with fancy, boutique hotels in downtown Kansas City. The Fairfield Inn & Suites is south of Kansas City and offered the perfect spot to stay the night but still be close to Kansas City. It's right off the interstate, so very convenient, and near to many restaurants, multiple Starbucks, a Target, HyVee, etc.My boyfriend and I had a late check-in and we were able to arrange this ahead of time with the hotel. Once we arrived, we were met with kindness by the front desk clerk after a long day of traveling. Check-in was easy and quick, and we were able to get to our very clean and modern room with ease. The lobby is super nice. Three elderly friends bought a bottle of wine from the front desk and were catching up in the lobby as we were checking in. The vibes were just right. The room was nice and compact. Sometimes you get hotel rooms that are just entirely too big. This room was just the right amount of cozy. The bed was nice, the carpet was clean, and the furnishings were modern with a cozy feel. (I especially loved the blinds on the window that featured an autumn leaf motif. It added to the cozy vibes.)The bathroom was also very nice, and had a nice larger shower and large vanity. The staff had also made a rose out of toilet paper and placed it on top of the toilet paper next to the toilet. Such a sweet touch. In the morning before we departed, I stopped by the fitness center on the first floor and was shocked at how big it was compared to other hotel gyms. The treadmill was nice and new, the weight bench was clean, and there was a beautiful selection of weights to choose from.”

“Stayed at this Hyatt for a Chiefs game and was cheaper then staying in the heart of Kc (rooms much more expensive)….the staff was super friendly, room was very clean, nice location….only thing we noticed was the bathrooms are super tiny….would stay here again though….”

“Great for pets. We had a ground level floor with a door to grass area for our pets.

Food and drinks: Continental breakfast is not part of the room rate. Hotel should let guests know that beforehand.”

“I was very happy with my room and with the service that was provided me, including being given kitchen and bathroom supplies as needed. I plan to stay at this Extended Stay America every visit I make to the Kansas City/Overland Park area.

Rooms: Very spacious and include a kitchenette. It also includes two 3-drawer dressers, which was very nice and a spacious closet area.

Walkability: This location is not suited to walking to any restaurant or shopping area, but it was perfect for driving almost anywhere in the KC area due to it being just south of a major freeway that connects to other freeways and is very near other streets that have restaurants and stores.”

“Stayed at the Aloft Overland Park/Leawood on business trip. It was a very nice stay. I stayed on the 5th floor and the outside sounds are very very reduced. Most of the time you hear silence unless someone with an especially loud car pulls through on Nall Street. The little area around out though, is a gem. They had a Saturday night concert that was a boat and is a very very loud friendly vibe. Everyone was super nice in the area, and the staff was a hoot to chat with.

Rooms: Rooms are nicely appointed. Not 5 star fancy, but more a modern chill vibe. They have a little couch in the room which I really appreciated.

Walkability: There is so much in the surrounding area to walk to and do or eat. It's a very clean area, and is very chill and usually filled with families.”

“Review of Days Inn - 8601 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Days Inn located at 8601 Hillcrest Road in Kansas City, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. During my multiple-day stay, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, friendly, and professional, making my experience truly enjoyable.

Each morning, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of hot, fresh Belgian waffles wafting through the air. The breakfast spread was impressive, featuring fresh orange juice, eggs, a variety of my favorite cereals, and, of course, coffee. The self-serve breakfast area was always well-stocked, clean, and organized, creating a welcoming atmosphere to start the day.

The front desk staff were consistently present and eager to assist with any requests, making my stay even more comfortable. While this may not be a brand-new facility, it is evident that the Days Inn is well-maintained, staffed, and operated.

Upon arrival, the check-in process was seamless, and my room was ready and picture-perfect. I was impressed by the attention to detail, from the comforter corners neatly tucked under the mattress to the proper placement of all soap, shampoo, and conditioner containers.

For any traveler looking for a restful and comfortable stay with peaceful amenities close to the city center, this facility is truly money well spent. I highly recommend the Days Inn for a wonderful experience in Kansas City! Ed Shute Executive Chef
