“We stayed here 40 years ago on our honeymoon and are now back for our 40th anniversary. The place is so much fun!! Door man- awesome, front desk- extremely friendly and engaging, bartender- hilarious, live jazz duo- best I’ve seen. It is in a historic building from 1920s on the beautiful Kansas City County Club Plaza. Highly recommend. Will probably make this our go-to spot for anniversaries going forward.”

“Excellent service and a very comfortable stay. The rooms were great, with perfect temperature control, powerful showers, and very comfortable beds. The rooftop restaurant was also excellent. Unfortunately, the views from the hotel were disappointing. I also did not particularly enjoy Kansas City—it felt rather quiet and not very vibrant, with very few people or cars on the roads. I understand that the hotel’s location is tied to the area’s history, but the surrounding neighborhood felt quite dull and lacked atmosphere.”

“Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was enjoyable. The room needed a bit of love - scuffed up furniture, dirty mirrors, and the carpet could use a cleaning. The view though, wow, best I've ever had in a KC hotel!”

“This is a great business hotel located downtown and easy to get to etc. It is not an amazing family hotel as there is no pool, breakfast isn't included, and they don't want gatherings if more than 10 people. For business trips, it's good service, a nice bar, and nice and clean rooms.”

“Best place to stay in Kansas City. I've stayed here twice. They give you buffet dinner at 5:30pm-7pm daily with 3 adult drinks and self serve soda fountain. Free popcorn in lobby until 8pm. Indoor/outdoor pool and a hot tub. All the staff is very friendly. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are tiny and arranged strangely but it works. The hotel has been under construction lately but it hasn't bothered our stays. There are two elevators. They sell out during the week because a company books the rooms for orientation of employees coming from out of town. So it's sometimes hard to get availability during weekdays. We would have stayed there more times than two but they were sold out. Breakfast is a self serve buffet with everything you can imagine. Everything hot and delicious. Parking is free and there aren't many spots. Rooms are quiet. We love this place and so does everyone else since it's hard to book availability.”

“This was a first visit. I gave 4 stars for the pay to park, $20 a day which comes out of the $150 hold on your credit card. Other than that, it's a great location, safe area & easy to get around. The staff was wonderful & helpful. The king room was very clean, bed wasn't too hard, had a choice of pillows on the bed, firm & soft, bathroom was great with wonderful shower pressure. Breakfast was good variety of hot & cold. Indoor pool was spacious as well as the gym ( I didn't use either, just looked). I'd stay again.”

“Excellent hotel in a great location, with many amenities and plenty to do nearby. The surrounding area feels lively, with many people walking around, enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful views. It’s a lovely city. My room was wonderful. It had a separate sitting area, and to the right were the bedroom and bathroom. Everything was very spacious and comfortable. I would have preferred a slightly more modern or contemporary design, but other than that, I had a great stay. The customer service was attentive, and the lobby was absolutely beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!”

“This is a great location if you want to go to the amusement parks across the street. And it's also only 15 to 20 minutes from most places like Arrowhead stadium, 1587 prime steakhouse, Joe's bbq, Gates bbq, Liberty missouri, and more! It's only about 25 minutes from the airport. We stayed here 3 nights coming in for a Chiefs game and the staff was very accommodating . The rooms are really great and we both had plenty of desk space to sprawl out and work. The beds are not super comfy but they're decent. I'm used to a more plush bed and my back started to hurt by the second night. The kitchen has a mini pantry and a one burner stove, a microwave, and a full size fridge and freezer. The freezer has an ice maker. Just know that the ice comes out slowly. There are two TVs but they are not connected to the internet so you cannot use any apps on the tvs (and they have the internet settings blocked). But you can connect up your phone or laptop to stream through them into an HDMI port on the TV. The bathroom sink space is a bit small for 2 people. You may find that you need to keep several of things in your travel toiletry bags. Also, the toilet paper holder is in a terrible place. Whenever you reach to grab it, your elbow will slide it right off the holder. At a minimum it should be moved upside-down to prevent this. And ideally, it should be moved so that you don't bonk it with your elbow. The lamps at the desks and beside the bed on the nightstands each have two USB ports and two outlets.”

The room is gorgeous and spacious (corner king) and has a lot of natural light. All the staff are eager to help - I got restaurant and activity recommendations and can't wait to try everything!”

“Nice newer Springhill, typical of new construction of this chain. Unlike most hotels in this area near the airport this one is situated well away from the freeway so noise isn’t a problem. Two drawbacks: - Hard water. Showers take forever and you end up stickier than before you got in. - The pool is currently closed by order of the KC Health Department”

“Usually staying for travel; from STL I'm a little floored every time I end up staying in one of these rooms. They're clean, they're modern, and they look fancy to me, both in terms of set up and also general placement/furniture. My kids, my husband and I have gone on a lot of day trips, and we usually drive a few hours, get a hotel, and spend most of the day either at the hotel or exploring the city the next day. This hotel is not like the other ones I've stayed at with them. I always walk in and see how outdated and grungey everything looks at the other places. Stains on the floor and furniture, socks in the bed from the last guest, room items not restocked or are damaged... this hotel isn't like that. I'm pleasantly surprised every time I check into one of these rooms. Front desk is always kind and helpful. Breakfast is always on point. If I were to rebuild the building, I would've put parking on the opposite side. The circle drive is a little confusing because of how they have to have it for the parking and covered garage below. Nothing to be done about that now, though, and I doubt anyone there now had any say so in that decision. This place is now our regular KC stop! Will be back soon!”

“Clean hotel and staff is very friendly and attentive. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and upgraded. The location is near shops, food, and cocktail lounges. We didn't experience rowdy late night crowds near or in the hotel. Just a middle aged crowd looking to have a good, classy weekend. The appreciated the valet and secure lot. Their breakfast was large portions and so yummy. The bedding and comforter could use improvement. Request a room not facing the street, it's a main street with high traffic. This is area is considerably safe.”

The hotel was right next to the interstate so everything around us was easily accessible. If we're in KC again we would definitely come back.”

“You can tell someone cares about this place. It's a good price per square footage deal even if it's not the most central location. The breakfast was good and a little different (lime crema, chia pudding, dyi bfast burritos, etc.). The patio with pool, grill, basketball court, and plenty of comfy couches was perfect for families.”
