“We stayed last night in the carriage house Beacon room and were delighted. Room was large with stands on each side of bed for CPAP machines. Walk in shower was great. Bed was comfortable. Played games in large house with grand children who visited after dinner. Only suggestions would be.: Grabbars in shower and by toilet would make it totally handicap accessible . Both robes were S/M. Better if L/XL. Small people can always wrap it around. Larger people can not use the small. Loved the place and hope to stay againNorma and Rick from Lake of Ozarks.”

Had to go to several floors to find one that was working. ie: 21st floor to the 10th floor for ice.Walkability: Convention Center was a block and a half away, so very convenient!Noteworthy details: Staff was very nice and friendly.”

“we ended up being stranded overnight unexpectedly. the rooms were clean and they had food you could buy in the lobby in the middle of the night.the rooms were extended stay and I was very surprised at how comfortable the beds were. I am not exaggerating when I say I got a better night's sleep there than I have in more than a month. You found your business stay location. You will play hard ball on your trip for a few more nights in that bed.Airport shuttle service was fast and friendly and you are a tiny bit more than a mile from the airport.Breakfast was well done.This was my one bright spot on an otherwise crazy trip.Rooms: The bed! So comfy that if I could have stuffed the mattress into my luggage I would have.”

“At face value, really nice hotel. The rooms are good quality, the lobby is very modern, and it's basically a part of the Crown Center which is super convenient. However, there were a couple of problems, which on their own are not that bad but combined made for an annoying stay:First, the elevators didn't work properly. They wouldn't accept down calls, so you had to ride them up and then back down to the lobby. This resulted in myself and others waiting for elevators for 5-10+ minutes. On top of that, the staircase that goes around the waterfall near the lobby was blocked off, meaning if you took the stairs down, you had to walk outside to potentially locked doors. The second issue is that one morning the hot water was not working, and I waited about 30 minutes for it to start working again. Lastly, in the room there is a light that flashed at random intervals and was pretty bright and annoying.Besides those things, I had a good stay and would recommend it as long as the elevators and water work.”

“Just completed renovations - they did a great job. Everything is brand new!! Beautiful lobby, well appointed rooms. Good location - very close to City Market that has lots of dining. Parking lot is right across the street - cost is $17/day. Team was wonderful - very nice and attentive. Shockingly, I was only 1 of 2 people staying in the hotel - no one there! Breakfast was the bag kind reminiscent of Covid (muffin, yogurt, piece of fruit and water bottle)- they do not have their certificate yet to provide hot breakfast but I think it's coming soon. That was the only negative. Overall - fantastic stay - will definitely stay again when in town for work. Everyone book here - start filling this hotel up!”

“I stayed here in October for a conference for a few nights. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The room was cleaned and smelled good. The employees were professional and polite. I loved that my bed was made every day while I was away at the conference. The only complaint I would have is that the food options are pricey! It was raining and cold for much of my visit so the options close enough to walk with no umbrella were slim! As a result, we had to eat at the Bar Central restaurant located in their lobby a couple of times. The food was nothing more special than an Applebee's for much more money. I understand that hotels always charge more (especially ones in a downtown area), but still, it's Kansas City, not New York. Again, I was overall pleased with my visit! I doubt I will ever return as I was only there for a conference, but I am glad my stay was better than I have had at other places!”

“Getting there was a little confusing, maps took us across the interstate and down the outer road then crossed back to come down a one way road to the hotel to find out it took us right past the street that goes in the back of the place. Not their problem, a mapping problem. It was a beautiful place, awesome indoor heated pool, very nice rooms. Place was clean. Staff were polite and respectful. Not a lot of parking for.the location but was good enough for our needs. I would return to this place and highly recommend it. We didn't get there until late, around 9 p.m. and left early the next day.Rooms: Rooms was clean. Beds made properly, tv with cable, cooktop, microwave, mini fridge, ice maker, coffee pot. Had emergency information including national weather service information on the wall by the TV easy to get to if needed. Plenty of lights available. Bathroom with beautiful tile, countertops, fancy mirror. Shower was quiet compared to other places I have stayed. Had a nice chair to sit in with a side table. Beds were really comfortable.Nearby activities: Kansas City Chiefs stadium, WW1 museum, Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, and more.Safety: Two door locks on the room door, elevator had extra safety features in case of emergencies. Exterior doors locked. All doors except the main entrance required room key to gain access.Walkability: Restaurants right down the road within walking distance, amusement within walking distance, fuel and convenience within walking distance.Food & drinks: Several restaurants and a fuel station within walking distance. Taco Belle, Wendy's, Burger King.Noteworthy details: Highly Recommend!!”
