“I ordered a bunch of lumber from Lowe's in Hollister Tuesday evening to be delivered. Thursday was the soonest they could deliver. I wasn't happy about that; especially, since they only give you a time frame of 8am-8pm. The very first thing this morning I get a call that the kid messed up & it would be Friday 8am-8pm now. I told them that is unacceptable. I explained that my house was destroyed Easter Sunday & that it's costing me about $300 a day between hotel & not working to get into me new house. They didn't care. I told them to cancel my order & refund my $$$. I then went to Herman Lumber. They were as nice as could be. Had my lumber delivered within 4 hours & they were $100 cheaper. NEVER go to Lowe's, ALWAYS use Herman.”
“Only place in town that carried the type of wood I was looking for and it was not warped, bowed or second rate crap like a lot of places carry. Plus there were intelligent people working there who could answer simple questions and actually helped load my lumber in my vehicle. Reminded me of the good old days where customer service mattered.”
