“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Amanda Deke at AAA. She completely restored my faith in AAA after I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Oceanside, California AAA office earlier today.
I have been a AAA member for over 30 years, and I have never walked into an office asking for trip maps and been treated so poorly or made to feel like such an inconvenience. I left incredibly frustrated and honestly questioning whether I even wanted to continue my membership after all these years.
Thankfully, Amanda happened to answer my online chat afterward, and she completely turned the situation around. From the very beginning, she was kind, compassionate, patient, and genuinely cared about helping us. I explained that my husband and I are preparing for a major cross-country road trip and were trying to gather maps and travel materials. Instead of dismissing my concerns, Amanda immediately said, “Let me see if our office has those maps, and if we do, we’ll send them right out to you.”
True to her word, she followed through. She located the maps and arranged to have them mailed to us the very next day. What impressed me most was that Amanda took initiative and solved a problem that my local office didn’t even attempt to help with.
Amanda was professional, attentive, empathetic, and incredibly resourceful. Customer service like hers is rare these days, and she deserves recognition for going above and beyond for a longtime member. She made us feel valued, heard, and appreciated.
