“Really happy they got rid of self checkout. Also the employees here have been very helpful. My main complaint is that the company expects you to log in on your phone in order to do grocery pickup. I walked in and employees helped me anyway, and they were cool about it! I don't use most apps or buy anything through my phone, so Hy-Vee will be getting my business when I need pickup. They let me give a heads-up through a text or pull up where an employee is ready to help me.”
“I always have a great experience shopping here, largely thanks to the incredible staff. Every employee I encounter is consistently friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Whether I need assistance finding a specific item or just a cheerful greeting at checkout, they go out of their way to make sure I'm taken care of. Excellent customer service like this keeps me coming back every week!”

“My son got a humongous piece of pizza and a pretty darn big cup of ice cream for only $4.50. We also placed an extremely large order for pizza for our school so we will update this review after that order is picked up. I give very specific instructions for it to be cut into eight pieces because of our fundraiser requirements. They took down the notes for me!
We also purchased a large chunk of ribeye steak roast that I am currently eating and it is one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Price is similar to what I pay at Aldi.”
“Cashiers and baggers on every checkout, when everything nowadays has you waiting longer than necessary it is refreshing getting in and out of the grocery store quick.”

“Usually clean and well stocked with a good variety or items from several countries. Staff is great and courteous. The only detractors are the traffic and the area. Watch parking by the east tree line. It's frequently a homeless and druggie hangout.”
