“Wonderful in every way! Definitely a place my husband and I will return - felt like a true getaway. Location is perfect - love love love the nightly jazz (especially the dueling strings on Sunday night), the breakfast, and the customer service!! The Chaz manager and bartender are fantastic. Very unique and special place. Also enjoyed running and walking at Loose Park up the hill.”

“Love this place! We’ve visited twice now and had a blast both times—not to mention hitting large jackpots on each visit! The casino is spacious, lively, and offers plenty of fun things to do beyond just the slots and tables.
The hotel was clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the linens were fresh. We also really enjoyed the food—great flavors and solid service across the board.
If I had to nitpick, the towels were a bit rough… though we joked they doubled as a nice exfoliator. A quick wipe-down of the glass around the lobby—mirrors, doors, and railings—would take the polish up a notch. Still, overall, a great experience and one we’re happy to recommend!”

“Everything was clean, and the hotel smelled great. The staff was excellent, and check-in was the fastest I’ve ever had. I’m deducting one star because the internet didn’t work, and I needed it for work. The front desk staff tried to help, but I had to call tech support, and my laptop wasn’t connected until after I went to bed. Special shoutout to the breakfast lady—she kept everything spotless and perfectly organized, with next-level attention to detail!”

“Ignore the other reviewers lamenting breakfest was better from decades ago or that the rooms didn't meet their Waltdorf-Astoria standards; this is a Hampton Inn and is priced appropriately.
Serviceable for work travel, and the service radiates Midwestern hospitality.
As a diamond blah blah, probably in my top 3 Hampton Inn's.”

“The 24-hour shuttle worked well for my late arrival from and early departure to the airport. Location is otherwise poor since there's nothing around except other hotels, and a 15 minute drive to get to any sort of selection of restaurants or otherwise. Room was pretty standard but clean and served the purpose. Noise insulation was poor, particularly noticeable with guests outside smoking & talking late at night in front of the lobby.”

“I had a fantastic view of downtown Kansas City from my room on the 17th floor. I got the queen petite room and it is just big enough for the bed and a desk, so be aware of that if you get the petite room.
The fitness center is small, but adequate, and it is open 24 hours.
I dinged the rating for rooms because my room, when i checked in, was missing some items (soap, etc). Also, there were some bugs in the sink. The next day, the room was more clean and ready. The sheets / bed smelled like urine though everything looked clean. Wifi is very spotty. Sometimes the TV completely fails because of bad network connection.
The lobby looks really nice. It's a good place to just chill.
Overall, it was a good experience, though I probably wouldn't stay here again.”

“This review is specifically about the fantastic customer service I received from the front desk attendant, Valeria. I accidentally booked my room for the wrong night, which was the day before I arrived. It was 9pm when I arrived at the hotel, I was tired and not in the mood to make alternate plans. Without hesitation, Valeria immediately went to the back to talk with a manager, came back and booked a room for me that evening. My previous payment was applied and I received my room key all in a matter of a few minutes. Thank you Valeria! Also, the breakfast buffet was good too.”

“Lynette at the front desk was funny & fabulous. The beds were decent. The fridge was not that cold, even on the highest setting & the ice maker barely put out ice. We also had issues with the air. The fan on the A/C unit wouldn't stay on no matter what we did. It kept kicking on & off throughout the night & woke us up multiple times, as it was a little noisy. The shower had good water pressure. The kitchen was well equipped. It would have been nice if there was a table & chairs to eat (or play cards) at. Overall, it was a good place to stay.”

“A nice apartment hotel. We had 2/ 2 bedroom rooms with 2 bathrooms. Great for families or friends to stay. Kitchen has sink microwave fridge and 2 burner stove top. They had a wonderful breakfast with Mexican toppings for eggs. Very nice staff at front desk. Jimmy was great in the evening.”

One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant and bar — a huge plus for convenience and atmosphere.
A special shoutout to Brandy, the bartender, who truly elevated the experience. She was attentive, friendly, and brought great energy to the bar. Her Old Fashioned was one of the best I’ve had — perfectly balanced and expertly made.

“We missed our first flight and didn't get in until the morning of the 3rd day. I called them to let them know as soon as we missed our flight and our estimated eta. They checked me in over the phone so we could keep our reservation. Picked us up from the hotel, took us to restaurants and picked us back up. Amazing staff, very accomodating. Very clean. Bed was super comfortable. Will def stay here again. Very nice drivers!!”

“Rooms were decent. Shower could use some extra cleaning. Breakfast was good and the hours 6-10am was nice. Gym was nice with machines and weights. Little stuffy in there with no air circulation. One of the guys at the front desk during the day was friendly and helpful. Parking is tight here. Got back later one night and there was not one spot left, there were 2 semi's taking up tons of spots as well as a trailer. The side street was also lined with semi's. Where to park?!! Asked the guy who was at the front desk at 11pm, he didn't even understand what we were asking and was no help. We had our dog with us and appreciated being put near the stairs so we could easily take her in/out. They do have dog bags and garbages, but not a ton of grass. Was this place worth what I paid per night? No.”

“I felt the price was incredibly fair. I wish there was doors but I also understand the room has a central AC unit which would leave the rooms feeling hot. I think the option though would still be nice. For reference this was a room that I booked that divided into a total of 3 rooms. The hotel was super clean. I felt the rooms were spacious. The bathroom and elevator were a bit cramped but, again, for the price I was not mad at all. I went to a concert where hotels were charging 500+ for one night while here was $250 and only a 10 minute drive. The breakfast was also super good. The waffles had me and my dad looking into buying one of those machines haha. Overall I give it a 10/10”

Rooms: In our room both of the beds sag in the middle, table light has a short in it, refrigerator was not cleaned. The sheets was nice and soft and the patio was very nice.
Food and drinks: Breakfast is packaged and are $10 each if you don't have breakfast included. If are expecting waffles like I was you will be disappointed.”
“I spent my birthday weekend here, and this is a perfect location.
It sits right on the street car line, and you can catch it right in front of the building. There are numerous great food eating options less than a block away. And even more food about four blocks away. The parking is close as well.
There is a Starbucks attached to the hotel as well.
It's a very clean and quiet hotel.
My room was near the elevator and I thought it would be noisy. I couldn't hear anything from the hallways or neighboring rooms.
The front counter staff were so friendly and patient as I couldn't figure out the scanning of the QR code for parking. They greet you each time you enter the hotel. That is a welcoming feeling.
I love the quality and scent of the hand soap, lotion, and bath wash. All of it smells good and chemical free.
My room faced the corner of 16th and Main Street. I could sit and watch the city.
This is a convenient location, and being able to walk to places is really nice.
The continental breakfast is also good. Option of waffles you make yourself oatmeal with various toppings, juices, bagels, toast, potatoes, and biscuits with gravy.
I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 day stay here!”
