“I have never had a bad experience here. Some items are overpriced, but they have fair deals on others. I don't shop for clothes here, it's not laid out well for that. However, household items are always reasonably priced.”
“A good old-fashioned neighborhood thrift store with real world thrift pricing. I stopped here on a Tuesday over lunch hour and bought a sewing pattern, a metal basket and two decorative planters. They had a great selection of nice wooden furniture. Some cool vintage posters. Nice chiice of baskets and home goods. Even some great quality clothing. Thoughtful and well-organized media room, too. A table of free food up front. Worth a visit.”
“Your donation drop-off process is very simple and your employees are very helpful. Love that the proceeds from donations and any purchases go towards helping our local homeless families and teens to re-establish themselves if they commit to the wonderful program you offer.

“I’m moving so I can share the secret now. This is the best thrift in Kansas City for teenage girls. I have 3 and they have expensive tastes. They are all three very unique with their styles and fashion. This economy is ridiculous so we thrift a lot to save money. We can come here and get an entire season worth of clothes for the 4 of us around 200$. This location is extremely picky with what they put on the racks. They clearly only have clean clothes in great condition and current trends. We will miss this goodwill when we relocate across the country soon. Thank you for what you do for families like mine ?”

“love this place, great variety of shoes and home stuff for low prices. every category has its own price, large stuff is usually 9 dollars, a pair of shoes is about $3-5 dollars, so many clothes to go thru. I always find so many treasures when I go there, you can find almost anything you are looking for.”

“Can homeless mom's use this place as an address until she can afford to find a place and a job to take care of herself and her kids alone? In the meantime, there's millions of people who have had their voting rights stripped because of inflation and prices rising.
Can she physically live at The Salvation Army and stay there for an extended period of time.? Same thing for grandmas and foster care kids who can't afford to live some place. Now these are the your average suburban and rural people, and have nothing to do with what you express as a treatment facility, for whatever narrative that is that you're pushing through a nonprofit organization.
When Foster, kids turn 18. They are made homeless immediately. Their votes are stripped away because they have no address. Anymore. That's the same thing as housewives. In a domestic violent relationship and domestic violence has gone untalked about for too long, especially with inflation and prices rising, which this becomes economic violence towards a protected class of the United States, public
And telling people to just go live in a car is not an address either.”
“The staff at this location is absolutely incredible. Every single person that works there always has a smile on their face and is always happy to greet you. I lost my phone today and had it not been for such an attentive staff and the idea to turn off the overhead music, I wouldn't have found my phone and I'm so grateful and thankful. “I had the nicest people helping me today! One was a lady putting out new items. I needed help finding out if a lamp worked but it needed a USB plug. She worked and worked hoping it would. It didn’t. I was checking out and needed help with an exchange. The lady who used to be a DOC officer is sooo nice. The prices are too high but the team members are great!!”

In this place you might find gold, sterling silver, and bronze, but only if you're lucky.
Many people are looking for expensive Hot Wheels cars, but remember, all items are ready to be reused or discarded.
The buyers are very discreet and might even fight over a single shoe.
The only negative thing for me is, only one Goodwill outlet, There is only one goodwill outlet, in this area.

“My First Experience at Red Racks Thrift Store ?️
Today was my first visit to the Red Racks Thrift Store, and I was truly impressed. Gloria, who works at the front registers, was exceptionally kind and polite — she took the time to tell me about the store, its mission, and the great work they do for the community. It’s refreshing to meet someone so genuine and helpful, especially in retail.
There was also a young man, also at a register, who was very kind, helpful, and considerate. I didn’t get his name, but he was courteous and informative — even letting me know about the military discount, which I greatly appreciated. Small gestures like that really stand out and show the care the staff have for their customers.
The store itself is well-organized, with a positive atmosphere and a clear sense of purpose behind what they do. I left not only with a great find but also with a deep appreciation for the people who make this place special.
Thank you, Gloria, and the young man at the front register, for making my first visit such a pleasant experience. I’ll definitely be coming back.
