“The team at Union was wonderful for us. They kept us on track with milestone checkups and were always friendly, helpful and professional each time we interacted in person and over email.

I want to gush about them most on the day of our wedding and reception. We thought we were low maintenance couple, and we were, but of course, things came up that we really appreciated their help with like rearranging all the chairs for the ceremony. :)

And I mainly remember how they made me feel. Like it was going to go smoothly, like they had my back, and that they were so happy for me. It was genuine and so amazing as everything we planned was about to become real!

The space is so versatile! We used the main floor for a bar/photo booth/high top area on one side, and the ceremony on the other. The top floor we used for dining, speeches and a bit of dancing.

And the incredible lower floor speakeasy area we used to create a living room atmosphere for a music lounge. We asked people to bring their instruments and we all enjoyed the musicians among us playing together in an impromptu way.

It was magical, memorable, and deeply felt. Union was the perfect place.”

“My wife and I recently had our wedding reception at The Monarch Room, and from the moment we first toured the space, we knew we had found our perfect venue.

The Monarch Room is about as centrally located in Kansas City as you can get. Situated on a beautiful corner lot facing north-northwest, the space offers stunning views of the Kansas City skyline through its massive floor-to-ceiling windows. The exposed brick and tall ceilings create a unique atmosphere, both spacious and intimate at the same time.

One of the standout features is the bar. It’s perfectly positioned in the corner. Easy to access without ever feeling intrusive to the flow of the event. The backlit front is customizable, which added a personal touch we absolutely loved (easily one of our favorite amenities).

Another huge plus: the number of restroom stalls. It may sound minor, but anyone who’s been to a crowded event knows how big of a difference that makes.

The catering setup is also extremely well thought out. With access along the side and back of the venue, our outside catering team was able to move in and out seamlessly without ever interrupting the event.

If you’re looking for a venue that truly checks all the boxes, you’d be remiss not to consider The Monarch Room.”

“Nostalgic venue with easy access to seats. The parking is convenient if you're going to arrive early otherwise you may be parking several blocks away. That's but necessarily bad because the walks are pleasant enough providing the weather cooperates. The venue has great accoustics in my opinion and I've always been satisfied with the views from the locations I've been sitting in. I'm normally upstairs since I like a top down view of the performers. I know it's an older venue so in not sure of it's financial position but I sure would like to see them give the interior an overhaul and reopen the two balcony seating areas on either side of the stage.”

“After attending other events at Cézanne, my husband and I elected to host our wedding and reception at the venue when we married in November 2025. The versatility of the venue shone through with exposed brick, polished hardwoods, and high ceilings making the space feel open, spacious, and inviting, but with a little history – not just your average venue. The gorgeous Jim Sajovic art installation in place at the time was absolutely perfect for the background of our wedding and kept us from having to overengineer any décor. The footprint comfortably accommodated our group of approximately 125 people, while the Cézanne team kindly and warmly accommodated us and our guests. They handled several logistical details on our behalf to reduce our mental (over)load. They were accommodating in every possible way, kind and encouraging, and above all, the perfect people to have in charge of our big day. They organized the flip of the room post-ceremony/pre-reception in a way that was seamless, efficient, and unnoticeable. Private parking and ease of access via the streetcar made it seamless for our guests to get to and from the venue from their hotels and homes. Planning our event with Cézanne’s team was seamless and easy. They communicated clearly and frequently, often emailing or calling with suggestions or to share recommendations – whether for other vendors or other ideas – based on conversations we’d had with them. For example, I know not everyone loves dancing, so I’d put together a series of games and puzzles in our wedding colors, and they helped us create a quaint and cozy game nook. We decided to do “his” and “hers” favorite candies and needed somewhere to set up that display, along with our take-home gift of custom jar candles and matches for our guests. The team was quick to find appropriate shelving and display materials. When I wanted to surprise the groom with a song sung by his band, Cézanne helped me deliver that surprise by allowing the band to arrive early and soundcheck and having everything ready with the sound system. The team consistently steered us in the right direction and helped us to elevate every last touch – and even save some money! Cézanne’s partner business, Sidecar Cocktail Catering, did an exceptional job with our premium drink package, offering something for everyone (including our NA folks), and a beautifully curated menu of our favorite cocktails. We can’t recommend them enough! From the private bridal suite to solid audio equipment to a great photobooth, Cézanne has everything needed for a perfect event all in one location. Our attendees raved about the location and venue, with my mom commenting that Cézanne was the most “us” venue she could think of. Our event was perfect in every day, and we truly owe a huge debt of gratitude to Nico and Joy as the owner and coordinator, respectively, and to the bartenders and back of house staff who worked tirelessly to ensure our event was seamless and perfect – and it really was! We will forever treasure our memories of our special day and will keep coming back for other events. “ABSOLUTE PRIME SPOT! Beautiful and clean room, two great restaurants, and a bar in the same building. There is also a rooftop bar that has the best view of the city. Several more restaurants and bars within walking distance. Saheera was the first friendly face upon our arrival and was VERY helpful. Smooth early check-in! Highly recommend!”

“This is a beautiful theater right in the middle of downtown Kansas City. I’ve been seeing shows here since I was a kid. It has just the right amount of seating, the sound is always on point, and staff is super friendly. Not a bad seat in the house. I like to hang out upstairs by the Chandelier bar. Nearby T-Mobile Center is just too big.”

“Nice venue.My sister got married there on May 24th it was a beautiful service and she made a stunning bride.My brothers,my dad and I had an amazing time. I'll never forget that. My only complaint is that the lighting was minimal. Very dark in there.There were tealights in places.You couldn't take great pictures,unless you were there in midday. I have on the royal blue straw hat. I'm the shortest man in the family. ?”

“My husband and I love recordBar. Every show we've seen there has been a great time. The venue itself is very clean and well maintained. The stage is excellent - high enough off the ground to be seen across the venue, but low enough to still feel intimate with the bands.

There is a combination of paid and free parking near the venue. It is literally half a block from the T-Mobile Center, but it feels like its own little world.

I can't speak for the men's restroom, but the women's restroom was clean and had full length stall doors, which is always a plus.

The drinks are reasonably priced. The other night when we were there, my husband got a Busch Light and I got an Angry Orchard for $12 plus tip. (Always tip your bartender!) They had a fully stocked bar, and we saw a sign for $3 mystery shots. We chose not to get that crazy though. They also have a kitchen, though we haven't eaten there.

My husband's band actually got the opportunity to play there recently, and everyone was very kind and friendly. The sound guy was amazing and knowledgeable and the show sounded excellent!

Highly recommend stopping in recordBar for a show if you're looking for a great time at a smaller venue that isn't quite a dive.”

Was fun to walk through the hall of fame section and read the write ups on all the players and coaches while the kid ran around and did the shooting and passing challenges. “Top Tier Venue has been an amazing experience which was recently used this past October. Tynecia explained all the nuances in great detail for renting the event space to host your event and outlined the details the rental agreement of what you get for hourly rental, or all day rental. The venue space was more than adequate in accommodating providing and being able to create an unforgettable moment for the 125 attendees. (we rented additional chairs and tables) Top Tier provided tables and chairs, and table cloths and chair coverings included with the full day rental that would accommodate up to 100 people. The venue decorum is neutral enough for adding in your own colors to create the perfect back drop, and color scheme. The kitchen area has a beautiful counter space that sufficiently provides space for charcuterie boards chaffing dish, food trays etc. Frig. and microwave. The entire space is well cleaned and maintained the Host Mrs. Smith provided use of a huge Bluetooth speaker as part of the full day rental which eliminated the need for having a DJ. Once our event was over we made sure that it was as cleaned as when we took possession of the Venue for the full day rental. Which I might add took a whole lot of pressure off of trying to rush in and get out. This way we were able to get our decorating done and allow the caterer time to get in and set up. I would definitely rent Top Tier Venue again in the near future. It is a great place to host any event. or family gathering, wedding , reception watch party, Baby shower etc.”

“Good space, but the floors were sticky and there was a sewer smell in the bathroom. For concerts it's really hard for shorter people to see unless your in the very front. There is no slope flooring or anything to elevate those in the back for viewing the stage.”

“First, this library is beautiful. Secondly, the staff is just amazing. My printer at home had stopped working and I really needed some things printed off. I usually go to The UPS store but it was a bit out of my way. The library is right down the street from my home so I decided to call and ask if they could print some items for me.
The young man who answered the phone was so polite and nice. He answered all my questions. And even walk me through how to upload and print online.
I couldn't get it the first time I actually called back and spoke to another staff member and they were just as nice and helpful. I went to pick up my prince and was greeted with a smile by the young lady who was sitting behind the desk. It really made my day. There's so much hate and mean people in the world today; it's such a pleasure to encounter some kindness. Thank you Green Hills Library!!”

“Wow! Absolutely AMAZING customer service! I stay at hotels about once, twice a week for work. I frequent Marriott locations as well, I’m not sure if it is the location or ALL of the employees, but I have never experienced such amazing customer service from a regular hotel! It was similar to a resort experience for just a one night work trip! The attendants at front desk were so accommodating, & so kind as well. I unfortunately missed my flight and overslept, and I am not a bonvoy member either, and they gave me until 2 to enjoy the time I had until I was able to make my flight. Wow, I am so so pleased with this stay & this will be my permanent location when I visit Kansas City. Thank you again to all the hard working employees who made my stay such a pleasant one when I went though my own personal difficulties.”
