“I live in NC and there was a book releasing that I was hoping to get a signed copy of. Not only did this lovely bookstore have the book, but they mailed it on time so that I received on release day. I hope one day to visit KC and see the bookstore in person ❤️”

“Such a wonderful bookstore with very friendly service! Classic titles in many different subjects. Neat, relaxing spaces in which to browse and read. Chill vibe from both patrons and the space. Cool t-shirts are available as well.(Posting pics I'm thinking aren't too oft-posted as opposed to the more standard fare.)”

“Cory, the owner, was an absolute joy. She cares about black and brown experiences shared through books. KC is known for its food and bar scene, but BLK + BRWN proves that there is a safe and necessary space for those who love to think, use their imagination, and form community through the love of reading. God bless Cory and her beautiful space. Support local!”

“I was visiting Kansad City for a conference and I decided to stop by Bliss Books & Wine. I was welcomed with warm open arms the moment I walked in. The staff member was so friendly and gave me great book recommendations. I enjoyed sipping on some wine and shopping for a good book. I highly recommend coming here”

“This one is very huge. Has a large religion section. A small Spanish children book section. They had a few Muslim romance books that was pretty shocking. Since the Plaza on didn't carry any last time I went.”

“The best bookstore in KC in my opinion. You don’t need a huge selection when it’s well curated! I really appreciate that it’s not just full of pop-fiction.”

“LOVE LOVE lOve…. No words are worthy. Just go. No matter your age. Go. You will fulfill all your emotional needs if you had a childhood with books involved. Pro Tip: you can get a book list online and make sure to listen to or read the books to your kids ahead of time BUT the books are there to read as well.”

“Nice book store, had some interesting titles I haven't seen before. Had a very knowledgeable speaker last night named Peter about Geomancy. Peter is a Excellent Geomancer, and the class was very informative and hands on. Highly recommend any class that he teaches!!!”
