“Such a wonderful bookstore with very friendly service! Classic titles in many different subjects. Neat, relaxing spaces in which to browse and read. Chill vibe from both patrons and the space. Cool t-shirts are available as well.(Posting pics I'm thinking aren't too oft-posted as opposed to the more standard fare.)”

KC is known for its food and bar scene, but BLK + BRWN proves that there is a safe and necessary space for those who love to think, use their imagination, and form community through the love of reading. “This one is very huge. Has a large religion section. A small Spanish children book section. They had a few Muslim romance books that was pretty shocking. Since the Plaza on didn't carry any last time I went.”

Pro Tip: you can get a book list online and make sure to listen to or read the books to your kids ahead of time BUT the books are there to read as well.”
