“I can't believe this place has been around for about 30 or so years! I was in my 20's when it opened & now almost 60!! Recently I went in looking for something very specific ( Nag Champa oil) and they not only had it ..... but it was cheaper than I usually pay! I must say, it was a very comforting feeling being back in there once again...kind of like an old friend.”
“I have been a devout fan of Retro Vixen on their social media pages for years and wanted to visit in person for an upcoming wedding I'm attending. I attended their 5th anniversary birthday party, so the shop was gussied up with balloons and cupcakes (they were delicious.) There is something for all body shapes and sizes here, which is SO impressive and a must for 2023. I was given a space to try on clothes. The staff helped me pick out the perfect accessories (a belt with a beautiful bow) and a stunning green cardigan. They also have a punch card, so for every $25 you spend you get one step closer to another punch on your card (full punch card = discount.) Thank you so much!”

“MADI is a high-quality shop with a heart-driven mission and one of my favorite spaces to spend time in Kansas City, when I used to live there. The owner welcomed me in by letting me know the shop is based on the premise of making a difference. Everything the store was based on was a manifestation for me to have found: organic clothing, pure plant dyes, devotion to proper pay for people. MADI is a gem, and I shop their online store now since I live in Florida. Their purpose deserves above-and-beyond gratitude. I have two pairs of their silk shorts! This shop is the best!”
“Lesa is a lovely and caring human being with a serious talent for alterations. I had a bridesmaid dress that needed to be shortened at the hem, was too big in the top, and not shaped well in the hips. It looks and feels amazing now! Her prices are super reasonable as well. I will be using her again for alterations and hitting up her fabulous store for formal attire!”

“Shopping here is so much FUN. Katy makes it easy, and has a great eye to pick out pieces that work. I love coming here- came in to find a dress, and left with an amazing dress AND several useful and comfortable pieces for work and a trip. Not to mention the great vibe around Christmas - lots of gift ideas from party snacks to ornaments to jewelry. They just celebrated 16 years in business and hopeful won't go anywhere - a total gem for this area!”
“This place is so cute! The aesthetic of the store is what attracted me to stop and check it out, it has all types of clothes that you need such as basics, dresses and coats. Their vintage section is to die for and I loved that they carry the brand ALOHA which I haven't seen in person just online. When we walked in we were greeted and asked if we needed assistance right away and set up a dressing room for us when we were ready. Check out was quick as well and gave some recommendations. However, I do want to be transparent about the prices as this is more of a luxury store so there wasn't anything they had that was less than $50. But if you are looking for unique pieces I recommend checking it out and even just stopping to get some inspo”

“I’ve shopped this chain for years. This store for the past 5-6. One of the few surviving plus options that hasn’t hiked their prices into unaffordable oblivion. Always helpful staff & always a nice selection. Nice sales & online variety you can ship to store for pick up. When I started a new position, this was my first stop for work clothes I knew wouldn’t break me $. Yet still give me a great variety of professional options. The fit is outstanding, I’m never disappointed. See you soon!”

Does that mean I can tax write off my vintage Chanel?? Well, that question remains unanswered. However, the merit of DO GOOD CO. isn't in question because it always impresses. From its fantastic selection of name brand, in tip top shape, lightly used designer goods to the wide variety of unique and local gifts to surprise any hostess or birthday girl or bride to be...or heck just about anyone youre looking to impress. If you are looking for a store that'll make you beam ear to ear because not only are you being kind to the environment you are also simultaneously supporting children and dogs in need in the immediate kcmo metro area then, DO GOOD CO is for you. It's one of those specialty vintage shops that never feels pretentious but does feel exclusive, and I absolutely love that for the downtown KC area. It makes it easy to allow patrons to feel at home as well as making it a luxury shopping experience. I will continue to shop at DO GOOD CO and FEEL GOOD about doing it. Just recently, I was honored to be invited to attend a holiday party at DO GOOD CO. and every detail was well thought out and planned impeccably. I was so impressed by the catering as well as the great selection of vendors who brought flair to the festivities.
