“Manager was super helpful so was one clerk the first time I went there, second time I went neither one was there and when I asked about one item was told item was in 2 places could not find it in either place asked again and girl really did not understand what I was asking about, ask about water hose holder to put on the wall that holds your rolled up hose and was told no that they had never had anything like that, that they had to be on the ground never on the wall of garage. What is happening to this world that tried and true things are being abolished or young people having jobs without really knowing the items that have been in use for years. Finally gave up and left the store and will have to order online.”

“The gentleman I spoke with at the front counter was very professional. He was able to help me find a welder that fit my at home needs. From now on Air gas is my welding supply spot.”
“We had an awesome experience this morning!!! I needed a chainsaw but wasn’t sure which one. Charley asked a few questions and knew exactly what I needed. All the staff was very friendly and polite. I would recommend everyone to go check out Ottens for any of their yard equipment needs!!!”

“My husband I buy most of our home improvement and automotive needs from Menards. They usually have what we need. I even buy some groceries here because they have good prices and a lot of times it is stuff you can't get at the local grocery store.”
“I stopped by Lowe’s early yesterday morning (around 8 a.m.) to verify the actual size of two doors I had special ordered. While I was in the receiving area, a young associate was kind enough to help me measure both doors and make sure everything matched up—really appreciated that extra effort.
Later in the afternoon (around 3 p.m.), I called the store to see if someone could have the doors brought up front. After working through the automated system, I reached a team member who assured me someone would be available to help when I arrived.
When I got back to the store, though, there was no one at the Pro Desk or the order desk. I asked another associate in a green vest for help, and he directed me to wait at the desk. That’s when I ran into David, who had just started his shift.
David immediately stepped in to help. He called for assistance over the radio, but when no one responded, he took it upon himself to handle the situation. He helped me locate the doors, get them loaded onto carts, and made sure I was taken care of. On the way out, we noticed that one of the doors might have been missing brick mold. Even though it wasn’t his department, David again reached out for help to get it sorted out.
At that point, another team member came into the receiving area, but instead of helping, she began criticizing David over things that were clearly outside of his control. It was honestly surprising to see, especially considering David was the only one who had stepped up to assist.
David showed a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a willingness to help when no one else would. He made sure I got what I needed and handled the situation the right way from start to finish.
Great job, David—and thank you to the young associate earlier in the day as well.”
