“Took a vehicle to J&S to get an inspection before buying. They looked at the car fax and researched some items before determining whether it should be inspected. I greatly appreciated them doing this, when they could have just done inspection and charged me. They did a very thorough inspection and walked me through everything they found.
I greatly appreciated their honesty. It saved me from purchasing a vehicle that would have caused me headaches down the road.

“About as good an automobile place as I’ve ever been to visit. I needed a new battery. I needed air in my tires due to an incorrect setting of too low at a chain oil changing outfit. I’m an elderly widow living only a mile away, so I was glad to discover a convenient place.
Easy. I called, made a time to arrive that same day. I waited a short time in the spotlessly clean waiting area after selecting my battery.
All was fixed in maybe 20 minutes at the most.

I’ve lived in Springfield, Missouri since 2018, and I’ve had my fair share of experiences with different mechanics. Daytona Automotive is by far the best place I’ve ever been. They consistently take care of me, and when something needs to be done, they get it done in a reasonable time frame.
What I appreciate most is their honesty. They always explain what’s really going on with my vehicle and let me know whether something needs immediate attention or if it can wait. That kind of transparency is rare.
Zack is absolutely amazing — his communication is clear, respectful, and trustworthy. There’s a reason their sign says “The Family Mechanic.” They truly have become ours.”
“Very thorough and not judgmental at all. They did all the checks advertised online. Thankful for that as I’ve been placed in the past that did not. My cabin air filter had probably never been replaced and they did that no problem. My oil air filter was a little eh but they said it could wait. Very honest about everything. In and out no problems.”

“Best car mechanic experience Ive had in Springfield and here’s why:
Before finding Valvoline Express Care on Sunshine, I was on the verge of giving up. My car had been sitting for some time and needed new maintenance to get back on the road, but every mechanic I called either tried to price gouge me or gave ridiculous wait times — we’re talking about hours or even days. Really not good considering my tags needed renewed in less than a week.
The worst part was when one mobile mechanic overcharged me for doing the bare minimum (change a tire, fix dead battery, put gas in tank, clear warning lights) and my car still had issues afterward. Another mechanic wanted to charge me 270.00 to put in lightbulbs.
Frustrated, I decided to try another auto mechanic shop, but this time I called Valvoline Express Care on East Sunshine St and all that changed.
They took my car in immediately, diagnosed the issues fast, and had me back on the road within minutes. No upselling, no BS — just straight-up solid work. Oh, and pricing? Totally fair and no hidden fees. Compared to the pricing of the previous mechanics, it was like night and day.
Beyond the service, the guys there are just good people — Down-to-earth, honest, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to. You can tell they take pride in what they do and actually care about helping people.
Honestly, I would love to invite these guys over to a cookout just to thank them.
That said, believe me when I say this place is a hidden gem in Springfield. if you’re tired of getting jerked around by shady mechanics, you need to give these guys a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

“I've always experienced great service from this Walmart tire location. However, today really floored me. I brought my car in for a new set of tires because the tread was getting thin, and I didn't want to be out in the snow with them. I thought I had a great deal with the Black Friday special on Goodyear tires. When they rang me up, the price was less than half the cost they had quoted. I asked why, and they said my prior set that I purchased from them had worn out faster than they should have, so they prorated them. They did this without asking because that's the type of great service they give. Shout out to Karen and the awesome tech that took care of me without asking.”
