“Personally I'm into grocery stores like this where things are expired. Think of them as aged to perfection. We usually frequent places like this that are Amish and this one is definitely not so you'll have all the benefits of lighted aisles and frozen stuff.Very large selection of literally everything you could possibly want in a modern grocery store. They everything from frozen food, to candy and soda, light bulbs, feminine hygiene products and plastic utensils. They do accept credit cards too, but cash is still an option. We weren't sure on the way in so we brought both. And not everything is expired either. Almond milk was still good for another 6 months and even if chips are expired as long as the bag isn't open you know they're going to be fine. I only regret it is not bringing a cooler because we live an hour away and we had to skip all the cold items. Highly recommended and I will return.”
“A little pricey but a pretty good market They have a pretty good sales on meat though and really good meat so it's worth a trip. They do this occasionally in market prices way down just to help customers. They don't have to do that but they do so that's pretty nice. Overall lots of items to choose from for a small store They pretty much have everything you need. And local.”
“Aldi in Washington maintains the same strong reputation for affordability and efficiency. The store is clean, and the selection is well-curated. It’s an excellent place for saving money while still getting quality groceries.”
“Wow! First time here, for we were Glamping in St. Clair. A lovely lady in the bakery witnessed me looking through all the cookies. She asked if I needed help, told her I was looking for chocolate chip. She helped me look and we both decided they were all out. I went about my shopping. She tracked me down and found a package in the back and wanted me to have them. When you think Customer service is almost gone you find someone like her who makes your whole day!”
“I love Aldi's, they are very friendly and helpful!!
I shop there at least a couple times a week
I am really lucky they are right around the corner!!!”
“The good old hometown feel. Small enough to navigate around easily but large enough to have most everything you need... Fresh meat selection is not the best, as far as selection.. I'd just suggest a larger meat counter, with a wider selection of meats... Very friendly, and courteous staff always!”
“I dont drink, but they do sell beer. Just not on Sundays. This store also sells fresh produce. The only downfall is that there's only a lady who doesn't know how to ring up people very well, so you may be in line for 10 minutes or so if shop when she's working...???”
“Super friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of products, arguably better quality than many of its competitors, and just a more inviting atmosphere while shopping here.”
“Lots of Birthday party supplies and decorations, really cute gift bags though they were lacking on wrapping paper otherwise pretty good experience except for the fact that there was a worker lady cussing really loud in another aisle LOL JK that’s Pacific for you ;)”
“It is clean and had all the things we need.Prices are not lower than another store I use but it's easy to get in and out with good service and fast check out”
“Offers a variety of gifts, small food items, wine and other beverages as well as flowers and gift basket items. We have ordered several gift baskets from this store over the phone for local delivery and they have always been incredibly accommodating and helpful.”
“These ladies in there are everything. They truly care about their customers. I've had my whole own day (a bad one) and the lady at the window could see it in my eyes, could see I had just got done crying, she offered me and hug and was just insanely kind. I've already been a regular customer there but now I'll always be a regular. You're kindness helped me in so many ways. Thank you! ?”
“I had to exchange some items and get a refund. Had issues with Affirm it is not user friendly at all. They were so helpful, we had to try several times and they were all so patient with me and we all learned something new! Thank you for all of your help. Excellent Customer Service!”
“I very much encourage all kinds of people to shop here, it's much cheaper than Walmart and Schnucks plus you don't have to go walking throughout the whole store looking for everything. It has every thing from school journals to dog food”
“I really like shopping at Dollar general. I really feel sorry for the people that work there though. They don't have enough help. Like everyone else right now. I really wish their Wi-Fi worked better as the internet's very hard to get there. Also. The shelf check outs do not allow paper coupons which is really ridiculous. And some won't even allow paper coupons at all. I gave the good score solely for the people that work at Dollar general.”
“Largest Dollar General store I've seen in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. Exceptionally clean and tidy (A week before Christmas) in comparison to most stores at all times of the year. Employees are friendly and helpful.”
“The Parkway store is much neater and well stocked than the one on Paul Parks next to Country Mart. I won't shop that store any more. I am handicapped and often their store is being restocked and one cannot navigate through. The Parkway store also has helpful staff.”
“Really a clean and well stocked store. They do have self checkouts but they also have one regular check. The people are really great employees that work there. Thank you for all you do!”
“This location is amazing! I usually go to Union just because it’s closest to me, but when I get the chance to come just even walk around this one I do lol. They have a wide selection of clothes, and even have furniture displays. Always well stocked and clean too.”
“Helpful staff, will show you where what you are looking for instead of just pointing as long as they aren't running the register with people in line and if they are stocking they will every time. The dollar general company it's self needs to always have 2 people working at all times, they shouldn't expect 1 employee to run the register and check people out. I've seen customer's be rude to the employee when they are finally notified, even though the employee can't see thru shelves and the customer could go find the employee instead of being lazy and getting angry with the employee. Dollar General, you can not say you don't make enough money to have at least 2 people working at the same time and expect 1 to stock and run the register. STOP BEING CHEAP AND TREAT YOUR EMPLOYEES LIKE YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. I'm not stupid and neither are any of your customers, we know that there's a lot more working at your headquarters. If you are going to do this to store employees the there is no reason for more than one person doing anything at the corporate office, and the people that really think they are important, i.e. the president, c.e.o, c.o.o., definitely don't need executive assistants, you are not that important or busy that you need someone to do the things they feel are beneath them. If you want to be this cheap that gets your employees yelled at quite often then you need to cut at the corporate level also, y'all are not more important than any of your employees, everyone is replaceable and that includes you, so you aren't anymore important than any other employee or anyone else on this planet, you are not special.”
“Very cool employees despite the fact there's obvious issues with these stores understaffing, which only leads to high attrition, product not being merchandised properly And sold ...ultimately causing poor customer reviews and loyalty. The sad fact is in a lot of places, these stores are often the only store for miles ...with their , sometimes inadequate.”
“It's so much better than what it was a few years ago. It's either due to new management or new people or something but these girls that are working up there this week they've been just wonderful.”
