“I don't know who is giving a 1 star review to literally the only anything in miles and miles. This dollar general is the only place to get anything... It deserves respect. It's like getting high and going to a Denny's at 3 am. It's not exactly a 5 star place, but it gets the job done.”
“We absolutely loved our vacation at Riverview resort. We have several little boys with us and we came to go trout fishing. It was a beautiful property and we had great luck catching trout from the riverfront behind the cabin. It’s about a 200 yard walk down to the river, but they have a little dirt road so we just drove our truck down to the riverfront every day that we wanted to fish. They have a beautiful swimming pool with a solar cover so it stayed pretty warm, even though the temperature outside was cool. There is a precious deer that lives on the property, he looks like he was hit by a car, but he is as sweet as he can be, and he will let the kids pet him and we fed him some fruit. That is a memory they will never forget. They have a beautiful pavilion by the pool with a fireplace so we were able to do a cookout on their Blackstone grill every night and we spent our evening visiting under the pavilion and playing games. Friday night they had pizza and live music. The pizza was fantastic! It is homemade pizza. We ordered the Detroit style deep dish and it was some of the best crust I’ve ever had! Absolutely worth the price. The little general store on property is a really neat little store. My kids loved shopping for candy and fishing lures. The prices were excellent. Not what you expect from a little general store! We ate breakfast at the café in the mornings and it was fantastic food. And they have a coffee machine that grinds the beans fresh. And above all the thing that’s stuck out to all of us was how friendly the staff was. Every person we visited with was so friendly. They have a little ring on a string game inside the general store that we had fun playing. They are in the process of updating the cabins. We stayed in an older cabin, which was definitely ready to get updated. But the price is right. Some of our family stayed in a freshly renovated cabin, which was beautiful! We will be looking forward to coming back here every year.”

“I always find more than i need when i go. My daughters favorite place the "dolly-store" LOL.. it would be cool to see them step up their selection on clothing.. i honestly think prices area bit to much, esp for the very basic and limited selection.. but its probaly a whole lot better for my wallet this way, even though most items are fairly cheap, i still usually manage to spend $60-100+ just about every visit! It would be cool if they accepted WIK for formula too.. but i can pretty much meet most my other needs easily and its just down the road, so its a frequent stop!”
“Pros: This store is very clean, signage is up to date, easy to find what you’re looking for. The manager (I forget her name) is an absolute hard worker. She’s on top of everything in there, and always looks to be hard at work every time I come. Con’s: Some employees are the absolute best. Truly! However, sometimes a newer hire (like one from a few weeks ago) is absolutely rude and unhelpful. I love shopping there but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I check out and get treated poorly for no reason at all. All in all, a good store! Love me some DG.”
“Staying near town and we made a few stops at this location on our trip. Nice staff. Had what we needed during our stay. Google Maps directions will take you to the back of the store though. Not the front. So those directions aren’t the best.”
“The ladies that work here are friendly, and nice as can be. They are now more like a flea market, but with their own stuff not people's personal booths. It's a great little store with all kinds of stuff and super cheap!! Last time I went in and spent 20 dollars, and left with about 3 bags!”
“We went there last Friday and was very impressed with how friendly and kind all the staff were and even commented to the store manager that happened to be there. Now today Sunday a different experience…our cashier Raven couldn’t have been more Unfriendly. Not a smile or a thank you. Someone needs to teach her that just a smile can change someone’s day…or maybe she just needs a different job.”
The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
