“The staff at this ACE Hardware is always super helpful. They are there when you need them and are able to immediately locate what you're searching for. I went in looking for screws and spent maybe 3 minutes trying to figure out what I needed before someone offered me help. The lady that helped me found the exact screw I was looking for in maybe 25 seconds. Best experience ever.”
“From Pennsylvania, needed a trailer to get some things back home. What a great team of employees! Got me taken care of quick, even went out of their way to get title notarized as soon as they could. Friendly, knowledgeable, and just all around great bunch of people. Best Harbor Freight I’ve ever been to, hands down.”
“The ONLY place in town to get nuts and bolts. They are the only place that carries a large stock of grade 8 in bulk. At 5.99/lb, you're practically stealing it compared to $2-$3 per small bolt anywhere else. The also carry grade 5 in bulk at $3.49/lb. The only thing they're missing are lock nuts in grade 5 and 8. Stainless in bulk would be nice too.
Ace, home Depot and Lowe's only carry grade 2 in bulk. You might as well use plastic or duct tape than use grade 2. Kenyon carries grade 8 and 5, but not the quantity that Murdoch's has and at a premium per piece pricing (around $2 for a single 1/4" x 3" bolt. You can get close to 8-10 at Murdoch's for that price.)
Great place to search for random hardware for those head scratcher projects too. They have a lot of great stuff. Cheapest place in town for welding stock too. But they don't carry aluminum stock, unfortunately.
The older gentleman that wears the Air Force hat is always great too. Always helpful. Love that guy.”
“I admit that over 27 years I have purchased hardware-store items from about every store in Bozeman that sells it. But when I have a problem to solve and I know I need good customer service I always to Owenhouse downtown.
Yesterday I thought I had figured out a way to fit speakers to stands not designed for those speakers. I came in with measurements, photos, and a sketch of what I thought would work. Rob helped me out. First he had me get a speaker and stand so he could see what we were working with. He listened to my ideas and explained his thinking, coming up with an elegant solution to craft a small platform. It was far superior to what I had proposed, as we discovered my solution wouldn’t have fit with the stand design. Rob was resourceful and patient, and went above and beyond to make sure I was set before I walked out of there! Not only that, but several other team members made sure I was being taken care of during the whole process. Excellent customer service at Owenhouse Downtown—every time!!”
“I've been dealing with Simkins for 40 plus years as a contractor and love them! Always very professional, knowledgeable and corteous. Keep up the good work.”
“Everyone's much more helpful here than at the big box stores. I've had employees help me work through projects that were a little over my head. Sometimes patience goes a long way when they're busy, but they're always willing to help if they can.”
“I walked in and without even saying anything the manager took one look at me and knew what I was looking for crazy good service and super friendly spoke to him for a while, your company is lucky to have such a hard working family man in there store”
“David is super friendly and helpful! I came in with three boards to cut and several guys were unsure if they could do it or not. David gave it a shot and was a huge help!”
“Earlier this evening, my boyfriend and picked up 4 dining room chairs. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with our online order. Wonderful staff and we will continue to make purchases there!”

“I always struggle to find someone to help me whenever I come here. This time, a gentleman named Kodiak came through for us, despite him not being the lumber guy (lol). Thank you for the help Kodiak!”
“Very expensive to go to. For like one pair of pants can cost around $40-$60. But all the employees are very nice just high prices which I know it's not the employees fault it's the company.”
