Sportsman's Warehouse in Bozeman, MT, opened in 2013 and is located near many outdoor activity hotspots. The store has a good selection, especially focused on hunting and fishing for pursuits like elk, deer, bear, pronghorn antelope, turkey, grouse, and waterfowl. It also carries all the tackle for trout or walleye, plus supplies for rafting, camping, hiking, birdwatching, and nature observation. National gunsmithing services are now available. The shop services include spooling reels, mounting and boresighting rifle scopes, cleaning guns, cutting arrows, and tuning bows in a 10-yard archery lane. Customers report great service, with the gentlemen in the firearm section described as extremely knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and easy to work with. The service at the gun counter is noted as being much better than a local competitor. Staff are generally helpful, with one shopper assisted in finding a jacket, hat, and socks, including on a clearance rack. While there was an exception with one rude person at checkout, the overall sentiment is of great customer service. The store is appreciated for having it all and for its convenient location next door to REI.
This place is frustrating. The staff are friendly, but everything else makes it hard to shop here. The website regularly shows items as in stock when they aren’t, and calling ahead is pointless because no one answers. I’ve made the trip twice based on bad information and won’t be doing it again.
