“I purchased the ultimate bike pack 4s (which included the Wahoo fitness protective case and auxiliary battery) last year and have been very happy with its performance despite one issue (more on that later). I have been debating whether to upgrade to Iphone5 and decided to do just that. In anticipation of the upgrade, I ordered the Iphone5 GPS bike computer (with the TOPEAK carry case and battery pack) in the hopes that I would have it in hand before a Gran Fondo in Canada on August 24th. Imagine my shock and awe when I checked package tracking today to see that the unit will likely be delivered this afternoon, just 24 hours after ordering and an international shipment to boot. I am looking forward to this set-up because, as much as I liked the ultimate bike pack4s set-up, the auxiliary battery for that set-up introduced a level of instability to the stem mount and the unit actually fell off of my bike on a training ride last year at which point I stopped using the auxiliary battery. Fortunately, no damage occurred to my phone. The design of the TOPEAK battery looks like it will solve the problem of stability while the TOPEAK ride case attaching to the top of the head set should be more secure compared to the stem mount on the Wahoo pack. Kudos go out to the staff at Heart Rate Watch company for carrying an adequate supply of stock and then turning around my order so quickly. It saved me a trip to the local bike shop, which is one of my favourite places to go and certainly would have saved me some cash on the prices charged there. Thank you again for all your hard work and I hope to post an update about this unit's performance coupled with the auxiliary battery.”

“Basically the adult version of a candy store REI in Bozeman is dangerous for my wallet. Every time I walk in I somehow convince myself that I absolutely need another piece of outdoor gear. 😂 The staff here are consistently helpful and knowledgeable, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to figure out what you actually need versus what just looks cool on the shelf. I’ve had employees take the time to answer questions, help me compare options, and point me toward the right gear without making me feel like I’m bothering them. The selection is great, especially for the things you actually need living in Montana. Whether I’m getting ready for a hiking trip, camping, or just looking for something I didn’t realize I needed until I walked through the door, they usually have a pretty good chance of getting me taken care of. I’ve also had great experiences with the bike shop. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish the Bozeman location didn’t feel so cramped and overcrowded. I may be tainted by having visited the Billings store which is massive and feels like and outdoorsman’s paradise but the Bozeman store does feel very crowded even when no one is in there. Overall, though, this is one of those stores that feels like it belongs in Bozeman. Good people, good gear, knowledgeable staff, and everything you need to convince yourself that your next outdoor adventure requires approximately $400 more equipment than you originally planned on buying.”
“I came to Second Wind today hoping to buy a used fly fishing rod as a total newbie. Instead of pushing me to spend more, the owner took one look at my situation and told me the cheap Walmart rod I already had was perfect for learning the basics first. He didn’t make a sale off me, but he gave me genuine, practical advice that’ll actually help me get into the sport without wasting money. The outdoor retailer plans to open a 100,000-square-foot store in College Station, Texas, in 2028. It'll sit along State Highway 6, north of William D. Fitch Parkway, next to a Costco and in front of the future South College Station baseball and softball complex. On Sept. 24, the College Station City Council approved a $10.84 million sale of 28 acres in a unanimous vote. Bass Pro gets about 14 acres for its store. Dallas-based Corinth Properties will build a mixed-use project with restaurants and an event plaza on the other 14.
