“What a great skate and snowboarding shop! If you're in Missoula, CHECK IT OUT!!
We were in town from Edmonton, Canada for the Primus concert, and stopped in to say hello.
Met and chatted with the owner Chris, great dude, lots of skating history and culture in this shop with a kick ass skate ramp in the back.
The store is packed with product and gear. I ended up picking up a pair of Indy Titanium trucks, and he directed me to a book about skateboarding in Montana (which he co-authored).
Looking forward to diving into the book and finishing my latest board build with these trucks.

“If a store could embody Missoula, it would be Sports Exchange. This place is everything that makes our community special. The customer service is second to none, and every visit feels like catching up with old friends.

At first glance, the store looks delightfully chaotic, but spend a few minutes inside and you'll realize it's incredibly well organized, with quality gear that's clean, well cared for, and ready for its next adventure. Whether you're shopping for something specific or discovering something you didn't even know you needed, they probably have it.

Zach and Minny are two of the most authentic, kind, and knowledgeable people you'll ever meet. They're honest, never pushy, and always happy to share advice, a laugh, or even point you toward the wigs if that's your thing. The store is also dog-friendly, which just adds to its charm.

This is one of my favorite places to shop. Skip the big box stores and spend your hard-earned money here instead. You'll get great gear, honest service, and support a business that truly reflects the spirit of Missoula.

“Great storm with lots of stuff. Sadly, not much going on in the way of sales. But if you like to do stuff outdoors, I can't see why you would not want to shop here. Good amount of employees available to talk to and every single one of them asked me if they could help me. Fantastic to see in this day and age. Great selection of fishing gear. Also looked at a lot of the paddle sports and was pleasantly surprised at their selection. If I had anything negative to say it was, they were overwhelmingly loaded down with yeti coolers and I already have a car payment would've been nice if they had a broader selection of more middle of the road Budget coolers.”

“I have had him repair a shotgun of mine and also thread my deer rifle barrel so that I could add a suppressor. He did each of these tasks in a timely manner and treated me very well in the process. “Famous Footware definitely has a great variety of great shoes, and at great prices too. Definitely sign up for their points program. You earn points quickly, which saves you a lot of money as well. The staff are all friendly, and without being pushy like most other shoes sales people are.”

“Hi I was the lady with the weird shoe return on 06/23, I think we had a misunderstanding. I’m autistic and don’t understand when a transaction is done sometimes if not given a verbal cue. I’ve been bothered by not being able to explain that. I didn’t realize the transaction was done and i could go. You both just kinda stared at me like i had done something horrendous when i asked if the money was in all the right spots. You went from being very kind to me to making me feel bad. I now realizing you may have thought I was trying to like scam you or something but I’m actually just incredibly socially inept. I want to write this so that the next time you get someone in like me, you understand that maybe they are just confused. It hurt my feelings and I don’t want to happen to another person who may have what I have going on.”
