“I’ve written a review with Millard Lumber and Rick before but they both deserve another.
I’m still working on my balcony/staircase railing project. After a horrible first-time experience inside Builders Supply (I felt I should at least see what they had to offer) I headed back to Millard Supply.
I hadn’t been in Millard Supply for 3-4 months, and only one other time before that. I’m not even close to being considered a regular. But I walked in and Rick immediately greeted me by first and last name and shook my hand. Wow!!
I told him about my latest railing ideas and we walked thru everything I would need short of covering the steps of my split level. The handrail was going to be 16 ft and 12 ft long and there’s no way I could take it with me in a 5 ft bed truck. I asked about delivery and Rich said they deliver free within Omaha. Nobody offers free delivery that I know of. Bonus!! We set up delivery for 2 days later.
The delivery guys came this morning. Extremely polite and personable. Even though they had instructions to put it in the driveway, they asked where I wanted it. I appreciated that. And they walked everything up to the garage door, not just in the middle of the driveway.
Millard Lumber may be a bit more expensive than box stores, but the quality of materials is no match and I’ve never had the help in figuring out what I need like I received from Rich. It’s well worth a few extra bucks knowing I got quality materials.
