“This place is the perfect oasis, and I can't speak highly enough of the staff. Everyone has been unbelievably kind; but Shannon, especially, really went above and beyond for my husband and I by getting us a ride from the hospital in the dead of night. She totally saved us from what started as a really stressful night, and reminded us of the importance of treating others as you would want to be treated.”
“We just had breakfast and the staff there were extremely nice. They asked us about our traveling and wanted to know if we wanted anything more from the free breakfast. They had waffles, bacon eggs sausage cereals fruit, lots of breads and bagels. Room was exceptionally clean and the smiling, friendly staff made our day.”
“I was truly fascinated with this amazing place. The food is delicious. The restaurant "Amys Grill & Bar" has a very pleasant atmosphere and very good vibes. If you want to enjoy a very pleasant and relaxing quality time, escape to this place. I am sure you will love it.

“The burger spot was closing at 7pm when I was looking to get a later-than-usual dinner. So, I felt a bit rushed when I arrived. I was greeted with , "Hi. Joining us for dinner? We are closing in a half an hour.. the cook needs to leave early".
Now, the bartender/server, Michelle, was very nice, accommodating with my dietary restrictions and polite the whole time.
The restaurant itself is very nice, cozy and quiet. It bleeds into a very beautiful lobby with a fireplace, overlooking the hills.
The bar selection was little, but honestly perfect; a little bit of everything. I was very excited when I saw a Bell's Brewery bar mat, but then found that they do not offer Bell's brews, so that was disappointing.
I ordered the Oink, Cluck, Moo burger and the Buffalo Wings. They have a pretty small, but neat little exhibition kitchen. The smells coming from there had me soooo hungry!!! The wings came out crispy, just the way I like them. The burger was so tall, I could not take a full bite of it all, so I deconstructed it a bit. Had some great flavors though, for sure!
So, the one thing I really liked is that there is a lobby store, so you can purchase beer and hang in that nice lounge still, even if the bar is shut down.”

“Had some transportation issues late at night after a long shift in Elko. It was like 27 degrees outside. I had no place to go and was stranded in the cold.
I called Shilo Inn and the night shift lady named Crystal was super friendly. Crystal helped me get a room and out of the cold. This was the best customer service I have ever had in Elko and I have lived around here for over a decade!
I will come back again just to stay for fun and let my kids swim in the pool. Way to go Crystal thanks for helping me get up out of the freezing temperatures. You Rock!!”

“Room was clean, AC was cold and beds were comfy, but they gave us a room on the second floor and they don't have an elevator. Not a huge deal but when you have a lot of stuff or something heavy it sucks going up the stairs. PET FRIENDLY!!!”

“Started our trip from California to Colorado with our first night being here at The Thunderbird Motel. friendly staff, quick check in, clean and comfortable room. Swimming pool was clean and a nice and quaint breakfast. When I say that I recommend this place I stand by it. During our trip through five states with many stays in hotel/motelsi room and suites of various luxury and price. Some were horrid, even an upgrade to a suite in a high scale hotel was cleaned hastely and is showed it was disappointing.
We came back to Thunderbird as our last overnight stay before home. It was comfortable coming here, check in was friendly and the room the best of our vacation.”

“I was in town to help my daughter out and planned on heading home the same day. Turned out to be a longer day than I expected, and I decided to get a room. The staff are so nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. They charge a deposit for incidentals, and that was promptly returned to me and was back in my account a couple of days later. I would recommend Elko Motel 6. It is affordable and clean.”
