“We wanted to go to the hot springs forever so we finally decided to go. We Dealt with the traffic the day after Christmas going up to Lake Tahoe area. Was going 395, but then there was an avalanche so had to go 50. Was stuck in traffic for 10 hours. Left Sacramento area at 12:30 pm ended up seeing Topaz lounge around 1:45 am and decided to stay the night. We’re going to stay two nights but decided to check out. We had breakfast which was soooooooooo yummy. We went to Travertine hot springs was beautiful specially since it had just snowed for a week. On our way back we decided to stay another night at Topaz Lodge. Had dinner again food was EXCELLENT. We then played a little went back to our room decided you no what we had so much fun earlier. We sat at the bar playing slots listening to music and drinking with great company. Had breakfast in the morning again. Like the other two previous times we ate there the food was AWESOME. Topaz Lodge is a hidden gem. If you get the chance to stay there highly recommend it. The staff are very accommodating. The food is great. Didn’t win a big jackpot but hubby won a little and we had a blast with our besties. We’re even planning on heading up there this coming weekend. Go to a different hot spring and then enjoy our time with great company. If ur ever heading that way I would add that stop to ur list. “Riders, listen up. Just got back from a killer run with our motorcycle riding group, and our layover at the Best Western Topaz Lake Inn, September 12th through the 14th, 2025 was as smooth as a freshly paved road. We booked eight rooms and every one of them was perfect.

This isn't your average pit stop. The place is run right, and that starts at the top. Had to give a shout-out to the soft-spoken and respectful manager, Shawm, who made sure our group was set up without a hitch. And his front desk counterpart, Shelley, was an absolute delight. Nothing but good people running the show.

The rooms themselves were spotless and big—plenty of space to stretch out and store all the gear. But the real score is the view. Waking up to a clear shot of Topaz Lake was something else. After a day on the road, hitting the hot tub felt just right, and that quiet gazebo overlooking the lake was a great spot to kick back. For those looking to work out the road kinks, there's even a gym.

Before rolling out, a satisfying breakfast was a highlight. The hot options were hearty and fulfilling, going beyond typical cold cereal with items like eggs, sausage, and waffles. The coffee was robust, providing a good kick to start the day. If you're traveling through the area and looking for a place to stay, we highly recommend Best Western Topaz Lake Inn.”
