“I saw their ad on Craigslist for a lexus rx330, it had low miles for its age and looked good in the picture inside and out. When I arrived I was glad to see that the pictures were accurate. They let me test drive and it was drove well and they had the carfax on it and it showed everything I needed. No pressure sales and their puppy Panchita was the cutest dog. “This is my third vehicle purchased from CarMax. My first was a 2019 Toyota Sienna, my second was a 2014 Toyota Camry, and my most recent purchase is another Toyota Camry. I understand that these are used vehicles, and I expect normal wear and tear. However, I did not expect the interior and exterior to be in this condition.
My biggest concern is that some significant cosmetic issues, particularly the scratches on the body and windshield, were not clearly disclosed or emphasized in the online listing. The windshield scratches are especially concerning because they affect my comfort and visibility while driving at night.
I have been a repeat CarMax customer because I trusted the quality and reconditioning standards. Based on my previous purchases, I expected the same level of preparation and transparency this time.
Has CarMax changed its standards or process for inspecting, detailing, and disclosing cosmetic issues on used vehicles? I would appreciate having this vehicle inspected and these concerns addressed before I decide whether to keep it.””
