The Silver City post office is an official location of the United States government and you can perform many services, just like in the big cities. Mail letters, packages and check your PO Box, amongst others. Obviously, it's small but there are no customers. Hours are limited. They are manned from noon-4pm daily (Saturday morning 7:30-9:30; closed on Sunday). The PO Boxes are available 24 hours. It's a clean, suitable facility that can handle simple postal needs.
