“Stopped by for a quick dinner on a Tuesday around 7pm and the place was still buzzing without feeling crowded. The fried catfish plate was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and flaky inside, and the hush puppies that came with it were some of the best I've had on the road. Staff were friendly and quick even though they were clearly slammed with a bus tour group that came in right after me, refilling sweet tea without me having to ask twice. Parking lot was gravel and a bit tight for bigger vehicles, but that's a minor gripe for food this solid in a small country store setting.”

“The Esso or Red Rooster as I know it, is a really nice place with really nice employee's, it's got a restaurant, a bakery, gas pumps, a convenience store and propane. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because a lot of the time they've been running out of regular gas, but besides that everything else is great. ?”

“This is a medium size property with 3 fuel islands and a small parking area to the side of the store. It's big enough for RVs of any size and configuration. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained, coffee was hot and there's a good selection of snacks, no hot food at this location. As always, I left my area cleaner than when I arrived and made an in store purchase to thank Irving Oil for allowing me to overnight..”

“Every time that I've come here in the last 3 months (about once a week at various times of day) this establishment hasn't had restrooms available. For a few weeks it was apparently being repaired (the store hasn't been here long) and now it always seems to be closed for cleaning. I guess now I know how Irving always has clean washrooms. Oh well.... Ultramar On the Run just opened right over on the other side of the highway. Fare thee well Irving.EDIT.... this is now quite different and I prefer the Irving to the nearby Ultramar.”

“There’s great deals here that aren’t offered at the Irving’s I normally frequent. You can get 3 coke product sodas for $5 and that’s a great deal! They have Sprite Zero and ginger ale zero which aren’t available at the Irving’s unfortunately, so not only are they here but they qualify for the 3 for 5 deal! Staff are friendly and quick when checking you out!”

“I love the smell of gasoline. And this place is no exception. If you're looking for good food and need gas, this is the place. The fountain drink was out of order, but they had plenty of other options. I'll definitely return!”
