That was many years ago and he's getting on in years (14) but between getting a good amount of exercise, eating a balanced diet, and getting good vet care he'll turn 15 in August.”

“I tried out 8 different vets in the area before settling on Animal Health Center. I have been a client for almost 20 years now. I am a die-hard dog fanatic, active in dog sports (agility, obedience), well-read and educated about dog-related topics, and I do a lot of holistic stuff with my pets as well (I have a separate vet to guide me in that realm, but I've appreciated the AHC vets keeping an open mind about it). It's been important to me that I feel heard and respected, and I get that at AHC. We don't always have to agree, but I value the opinion of the vets here and I feel that they always have the best interest of my pets at heart. I have also found their prices to be competitive and the vets always willing to consider options that don't necessitate spending tons of money on tests or treatments. They have also been super responsive, by phone or email, to any questions or requests I've had. I believe most of their staff has also had training in "fear free" methods of working with pets, and that is reflected in their office set up and the way they interact with my pets. Choosing a vet can be a very personal decision, but I feel comfortable in recommending that you give AHC a try!”

“I can't say enough about how grateful I am for everyone who works here. I've been bringing my dog Waylon here since he was 8 weeks old - it was during COVID so it was hard to not be able to go in with him but they take such amazing care of him and everyone that works there absolutely adores him. They all know him by name and get excited when he comes to the office and so does he! He absolutely loves going to the vet. They are all the nicest people and care so much about your pets health and well being. Special shout out to Colby for always being the best vet tech there is :) 11/10 would recommend.”

“I would definitely recommend Myhre Equine clinic for your horses needs. Recently our long time vet in the North Country retired on short notice. After looking for a vet that would travel, and provide emergency care should the need arise, we made an appointment with Myhre Equine Clinic.Dr. A Warneke came to our farm last week, examined both our horses, administered vaccines, and took the time to get to know us and our needs. She offered helpful advice moving forward. My husband and I were very impressed with her knowledge and compassion! Thank you so much for a pleasant experience!”

“I just want to say I really don't get into the review thing but I wanted to take time out I'm very very pleased with everything that's going on with Great Brook Elizabeth it's been very professional and everything that she's done for our family and our dogs we have a bunch of dogs we're new to the area we had to make sure we brought or Dogs to the right place they're like our kids well I guess they are kids !Being a business owner myself and no one with customer service is all about five stars is not enough for this company they've always worked with us a little bit financially compared to other veterinarian clinics they are very reasonable I came from a metropolitan area Tampa Florida the prices that are but I can see we're very blessed to have them and I'm so glad I can leave a good post for an outstanding thank you again for letting us be part of your family from the Milanese Family”

“Dr. Jim McKiernan and the staff at Greatbay Animal Hospital deserve more than 5 stars. My animals are my family, over the past 20 plus years they have celebrated when I brought in new family members for a first visit and cried with me while helping them cross the bridge. They have always treated us with nothing but kindness and compassion. When my animal's illness or injury was beyond Dr. McKiernan's expertise, he referred me to a specialist who could help. My Rottweiler Largo was the 2nd dog to have TPLO surgery at Tufts University. He helped us get Largo into a cancer trial that extended the quality of her life until she passed at 8 from osteosarcoma. Dr. McKiernan doesn't sugar coat things, the health and well being of my animals have always been the top priority. They understand everyone is not created equal financially and and will go over options.My Bullmastiff Bella lived to be 13 1/2 and a large part of that is because of their care. She truly loved them and would wag when she got to go behind the counter and check out the clinic in the back. Time and time again Dr. McKiernan and all the staff over the years have been there for us. They all have loved and treated my animals like their own and still reminisce with me.Recently I took home an unadoptable medical foster from a shelter to live out her life on my couch. Lola's backstory is heartbreaking and I wanted Dr. McKiernan's opinion on end of life care. What he found after having files, labs, pathologies and medical records from 3 states sent to him and his own exam, was a dog that qualified for treatment. Months of red tape with the state and shelter Dr. Jim McKiernan is solely responsible for getting Lola a health certificate which allowed me to adopt her.The staff is always so friendly when I call to make an appointment and understanding when I'm worried. When we arrive for our appointment not only do I get a big hello but so does Lola. The tech has looked at Lola's chart and knows why we're there and gives her lots of attention and treats while taking notes.I will never be able to express how grateful I am, I don't have the words.”

“Northwood Veterinary Hospital is by far the best practice I have ever been to! The staff and doctors are as sweet as can be! They listen and care about what your pets needs are. They take your opinions into consideration. They will find the best solution for your pet that will please both parties! I just recently had my cat, Shadow, in for a Cystotomy and PU procedure due to continuous urethral blocking. Everyone here cares, not just for the pet, but for the owners as well. They understand that cost can be a huge issue with surgeries, so they worked with us on a pricing! The doctors did everything in their power to make sure Shadow was comfortable throughout his surgery and hospital stay. They thoroughly explained the surgery process to me and made sure I had no concerns. They were amazing during the 2 week healing process, always answering my questions and emails as soon as they could. Supplying me with aftercare pamphlets that were beyond helpful! They were also willing to schedule aftercare check ups as soon as I needed them! I can’t thank Northwood Vet enough! They saved my cats life!! He’s doing better than he ever has before!”
