“Nice little country store. I’ve stopped here a few times on the way home from work. Last night I purchased some quick pic lottery tickets for Powerball and mega millions. The girl behind the counter, whose name was Haley(sp), made a slight mistake that I didn’t catch. As I was walking to my car, she came running out, in the cold, with my change, which was $8. I think that honesty and dedication needed to be recognized. I hope the owners read this. It was a refreshing surprise to have somebody that was honest. I never would’ve noticed that there was a discrepancy from what I purchased. Good job Haley(sp).”

“My go to store, always the freshest and best looking produce of any grocery store around. My only complaint as a huge seafood lover is the seafood is always old and very fishy and the clams are always dead. Luckily the seafood and meat department guys know me as a regular and tell me don't buy these right now they are dead and have been sitting for days. Either way, 5 stars and I will be back (almost daily)”

“I truly love and appreciate this Hannaford in Derry! I was with my 3 yr old grandson when I had to run to the store to pick up some dog food. Quick trip, I rang up my own order as I only had a couple of items. The staff is always friendly and say hello when they see you. TODAY, one of them went far above their normal duties. You see after I rang up my items and was heading out the door (of course stopping at the gum ball machine for the grand baby)I came to find out that I had locked my keys in my car. It was 530pm and starting to get dark. Thank god it was actually a nice fall night around 57 so we weren't cold as I tried to figure out next steps. I decided to go back into the store for some help as I also left my phone in the car and had no phone numbers I could remember. I was so focused on time with my grandson, I apparently lost my other senses. It happens lol. Anyway, back to the story: So I went in and spoke to a tall young man (don't recall his name :(, Victoria and Finn at customer service. Finn was helpful also but had to get back to the register area along with the young man. VICTORIA: This young lady : ) She offered me her AAA card, but it wasn't her actual account so that didn't work. Then she called a few taxi's slash Uber's but we had to download the app and sign up. I wasn't comfortable doing that on her phone. We even tried Facebook but you have to be friends with someone to contact them lol. Meanwhile, another staff member and Victoria were giving my grandson stickers. Told you, I love this store. Victoria had offered to call the Derry PD (about a 1/2 hr into my ordeal), but I wasn't sure they could help. However, after almost 2 hours of gettin no-where, we finally called the Derry PD who came with the Derry FD. They came out and had me in my car in 10 minutes. My point to telling all this is because everyone complains about the younger generation (I'm fabulous 55) and how they don't want to work or help. This store puts those stereo types to shame. They are always up beat and helping each other and the customers EVERY TIME I VISIT. I want Victoria and the crew that night to get the recognition they deserve. A bit more to Victoria who made sure my grandson and I were alright and taken care of. Thank you so much to them!!! People would be crazy to go to other stores where most of the time, the staff is bothered that you're there!!! Thanks again to that young lady Victoria : )”

“I know a lot of people complain about the prices, but I will always shop Hannaford. Specifically this one. It's close to my house and I love the employees. Recognizing faces and being recognized is part of the appeal.”

“This is the place you want to go if you want more food and spend less money I had a full carriage of not just like milk cheese and eggs but also with Hamburg a 10 lb roll also steaks roast beefs and chicken pork chops in other stuff from other aisles in the store and they spent less than $200 if I went to Walmart it would have been $375 for what I got at market basket”

“I came to this store to see if they maybe had some local sodas or snacks anything like that. as I walked in I was greeted very politely and the person running the store was more than happy to help me find anything that I would be interested in pointing out different products that catered to my needs. they are very friendly and have a big variety of local foods drinks and other products definitely recommend.”

“Where the ice container located inside the store there were broken down boxes on the floor that made it difficult to not only get into the ice container but was not too safe either.
Other than that they do have a good variety of products.”

“Yes, friends, this is it. The third and likely final Hannaford location nearest me with a water refill station. This machine can be found on the far left corner entrance area. Only slightly annoying thing about this store is where they decided to place their restrooms. It might just be due to me being so used to going to the Hudson location. But it's not every day that Hannaford places their restrooms on the far right corner toward the front of the store. I dunno. Perhaps they were emulating themselves after Shaw's in the Derry plaza. ¯\_( ° °)_/¯One last anecdote I'd like to highlight is their parking lot design. Not all Hannafords have this. But there's a section of parking lot on the side which leads to another exit way that leads directly up to NH-102E. Complete with its own cart receptacle. It's just like the setup they have at their respective Market Basket and I'm all for it! So, now that I have secured 2 alternative locations to refill water from, I can rest assured that regardless of how many months/years/decades it takes Hudson to repair their broke ass machine, my family and I will not die of dehydration anytime soon. And I'm giving Hannaford in Londonderry 5 conveniently accessible water refill stations out of 5.”

“After reviewing a couple of other Market Baskets, I want to mention my favorite, even though it's too far for me to shop there often. The store in Londonderry has everything: lots of space, plenty of parking, and a well-run Market's Kitchen with inside seating. Market Basket stores come in a range of sizes, and each one has its own management and style. The largest ones, like this, are usually the best. It may take a little longer to get from one end of the store to the other, but the aisles are rarely overcrowded. While you're there, you can order a sandwich or a quick dinner and eat it in the store. Make sure to park in a visible area. My car was once intentionally scratched while I was parked there. The store can't do a lot about outside vandalism, unfortunately.”

“Well I decided to try Hannaford as the produce at my regular store was becoming sub par. So far so good. Same type of apple had no blemishes, bananas were excellent. Store brand Potatoes had less waste from cutting out rotten parts.”

“My car engine blew on a hot day, I have cancer and lost my thyroid in one of my throat surgeries. I am no longer able to regulate my body temp. These nice people allowed me to stay in the store for almost an hour while I figure out what to do, and until an Uber took me home 2 1/2 hours away! Thank you again!”

“This store had more than I expected. Besides the basics, groceries, cleaning supplies, kitchen and bathroom items they also had toys and movies for sale. Prices seemed a little high on a few items but there were a few deals to be found. FedEx uses this location for a package drop off. Service was good. If I have a chance, I will stop by again”

“Had the absolute BEST cashier expeirence from Rafael at line #11 this evening. His energy,kindness,positivity, and scanning efficiency were outstanding. Never in my 6 years shopping at this Shaws location, or ANY grocery store EVER, has a cashier been this upbeat and happy. I witnessed him respectfully compliment and greet several older ladies in front if me while waiting in line. So cool to see the smiles he brought to everyone he talked with! Exactly the boost I needed after a long day. This guy needs a raise. Today. Shaws needs more employees like Rafael. Thank you an AMAZING checkout experience!!!!!”
