“Nice little country store. I’ve stopped here a few times on the way home from work. Last night I purchased some quick pic lottery tickets for Powerball and mega millions. The girl behind the counter, whose name was Haley(sp), made a slight mistake that I didn’t catch. As I was walking to my car, she came running out, in the cold, with my change, which was $8. I think that honesty and dedication needed to be recognized. I hope the owners read this. It was a refreshing surprise to have somebody that was honest. I never would’ve noticed that there was a discrepancy from what I purchased. Good job Haley(sp).”
“I know a lot of people complain about the prices, but I will always shop Hannaford. Specifically this one. It's close to my house and I love the employees. Recognizing faces and being recognized is part of the appeal.”
“Large store, plenty of stock shelves, very helpful staff, and quick checkout. Very good experience. I do not live in the area but visit often for another store in the area and it's very helpful to have this market basket where it is! Overall great experience.”
“Recently I was shopping at Market Basket in Plaistow, and things were very busy. I got to the deli and took a number and there were over 20 people ahead of me. So I went to the end cap where they sell prepackaged sliced deli meat, hoping to save myself some time. But the end cap was filled with only the most expensive meats and cheeses. So what is the purpose of the end cap? I would hope that a store like Market Basket would put the most popular and the sale items in the end cap in order to save their customers money and time. Instead I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. This is not what I expect from Market Basket .
I hope you will take this into consideration and maybe next time I'm in the store things will be different.”
“The store appears to be clean. Isles are arranged in a fashion where you can find the item that you're looking for. They also have a good sized cigarette counter. This is beneficial because they are one of the few, over the border, that sell them at very competitive price.”
“This is more of a shout out than a review for store 84 at Tuscan in Salem, NH 12/26/2025 (around noonish). The cashiers and baggers are pleasant for the most part. However, today I was lucky enough to get in line at Register 5 where Denise was cashier, and Lorraine was bagging. These 2 ladies are the friendliest, most upbeat, thoughtful and happy (and funny…let’s not forget funny!) employees I’ve ever encountered at Market Basket. They really are such a dynamic duo and an absolute pleasure to talk to! I don’t usually write reviews, but couldn’t let this go without acknowledging such great customer service! Great job ladies!”

“I was ignorant that Aldi has some really good food items. I even buy non food merchandise sometimes. Only little problem is the card reader, if you type your code at the same time it is asking you for cash back, it will select an amount of cashback. Other than that I love to stop there.”
“Very nice staff. Customer service people are great. Always good quality meats and produce. Not sure why they run out of milk and cream so often. Parking is good.”
“The only thing that I dislike and it seems like this a problem in every MB I venture to... the lack of fresh donuts. ? ? ? No matter what time of the day I go, there's never any donuts in the glass bakery rack. And if so, there's probably 2 or 3 dry crumbled muffins. You would think there would be fresh items every few hours, but that certainly isn't the case.”
“This place is nice and clean. And I like their bagels. Every Sunday, they have a bagel sale and I always stop by to grab a bag.
Some of their products are more expensive than Market Basket, but sometimes the quality is better than MB. You just have to figure out what to buy in what stores. Normally, I shop produce and bagels here.
And they have member specials at times. If you combine that with their reward system, this place is great to get your grocery.”

“Had the absolute BEST cashier expeirence from Rafael at line #11 this evening. His energy,kindness,positivity, and scanning efficiency were outstanding. Never in my 6 years shopping at this Shaws location, or ANY grocery store EVER, has a cashier been this upbeat and happy. I witnessed him respectfully compliment and greet several older ladies in front if me while waiting in line. So cool to see the smiles he brought to everyone he talked with! Exactly the boost I needed after a long day. This guy needs a raise. Today. Shaws needs more employees like Rafael. Thank you an AMAZING checkout experience!!!!!”

“This store had more than I expected. Besides the basics, groceries, cleaning supplies, kitchen and bathroom items they also had toys and movies for sale. Prices seemed a little high on a few items but there were a few deals to be found. FedEx uses this location for a package drop off. Service was good. If I have a chance, I will stop by again”
