Pet Care

Pleasant Lake Veterinary Hospital
242 Elkins Rd, New LondonPleasant Lake took care of my English Setter, Rose, for most of her life. And the care and love she received was outstanding. So when it came to the end of Rose’s life, I called on Pleasant Lake to provide this service. The care and professionalism that was given to Rose was remarkable. Losing Rose was a massive heartbreak. I cannot imagine how anyone could have been more considerate. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Please take this as my highest endorsement.

Flying Goose Brew Pub
40 Andover Rd, New LondonEclectic, rustic decor with great views of the mountains and the hop garden. I was mesmerized by the plants swaying in the breeze.
Our server was very cheerful and attentive. She offered my husband and complimentary flight of beer to help him make his choice and he enjoyed his selection.
Our food came amazingly fast and was delicious. My husband's blueberry glazed chicken was perfectly cooked and delicious. My Thai peanut beef stir fry was also good with super tender beef and crisp vegetables.

Millstone @ 74 Main Restaurant
74 Newport Rd, New LondonWe celebrated my wife's birthday at a high top in the bar area. There was a nice group of local residents at the bar that offered a festive atmosphere. Our server, Jenny, was terrific. She has a friendly personality. The shrimp appetizer was delicious and plentiful. I had the spare ribs and my wife ordered the strip steak. Both were excellent. We consumed a bottle of Sangiovese with our meal. The price point was perfectly reasonable. As we headed out for the night, the young hostess and bartender called out to us to have a nice night and thanked us for our patronage. It is always nice to leave a restaurant with that type of goodbye. Nicely done!

Peter Christian's Tavern
195 Main St, New LondonI haven’t been to PC’s for 30ish years. It looks mostly the same as I remember. I miss the bread and cheese board, but I have to say, the food was EXCELLENT. The fish and chips was maybe the best I’ve ever had. The seasoning was amazing, the cook was spot on, and it was huge! We also had the French onion soup, the bbq wings, and the Reuben sandwich - all were excellent.
It seems like they were short servers so we had to wait 30 min but it was worth it.
