The Briarcliff Motel is noted for its good and convenient location, close to shops, great food, and area attractions like the Mountaineer train ride. Many guests find it a great value with competitive prices. Reviews frequently mention friendly, helpful, and kind staff, though one notes a weekend manager as professional and a weekday manager as still inexperienced. Experiences with the rooms vary; they are described as clean, quiet, spacious, and with fresh linen, but also as older, with limited space and occasional maintenance issues like non-working outlets. While some guests report spotless bathrooms, others have encountered cleaning oversights. The motel offers a mildly-heated pool and some rooms with balconies overlooking the forest. However, room cleaning service can be inconsistent, and amenities like WiFi are sometimes unreliable. It is generally considered a good, inexpensive choice for those not expecting glamour, providing decent sleep for the price.
Excellent location, comfortable beds, and great rates. The bathroom was a little dirty (but not gross) and the wifi wasn’t great, but it was well worth it for the price.

Rooms are clean, there is a pool with a nice view of the mountains, nothing fancy but a bargain price and close to everything
