“It is tough to be impressed by a small store but this place is top notch. Walked in and first impression was how clean it was. Great selection of fresh products and there is even a Krunchy Chicken in there. Here is what impressed me, there is a sign saying Indian food available. The gentleman working directed me to try the chickpea curry in the case and I went with it. Not only was he kind enough to heat it up, he also placed two pats of butter on top to mix in because he recommended it. It was absolutely amazing. I would go out of my way to stop here again.”
“I was surprised how big this place was. Its deceptively huge inside with an active deli counter, fruits, veggies, and ready-made food to go. The coffee that goes fastest is the Green Mountain Dark Magic (dark roast). There must be fishing nearby as many guys were in and out wearing hunting or fishing gear.”
“The people here were so friendly and helpful. The food was homemade and delicious, and they even gave use homemade pop tarts for all the kids free of charge. Also some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had.”
“It’s not every day that you see “Butter Chicken Sub” on a deli menu. We were curious to try it and it did NOT disappoint. The bread was good and the butter chicken was very flavorful. The large size sub fed two of us comfortably. Our group of 3 also ordered a garden salad and meatball wrap, and both of those were really solid.
The deli has an Indian menu when you go to the deli in person. What a cool fusion menu! The two women working were really kind. I highly recommend this place for easy, quick but delicious food!”

“I have been shopping at the Woodsville NH Shaws for many years. The staff has consistently been friendly, helpful and professional. However, during the last year I have noticed a dramatic reduction of available staff in the store. This has resulted in much slower service and checkout times have lengthened.
I understand why Shaws wants to maximize profits at the cost of convenience to customers. If that remains your priority you should install self-checkouts. I will continue to shop for my own groceries and will not opt for the pick up option. Please consider your customer’s convenience as there are other shopping options in the area.”
