And Steve in the front left of the building is the resident instrument guy. Knowledgeable and very personable with fair prices on a very good little selection of instruments, that he said is going to grow soon. The 2 beautiful women working the register were very nice. We had several laughs together while talking and I left smiling. I’d suggest for anyone who’s interested in antiques, furniture, instruments, and just making other peoples trash their treasure to stop in and check them out!”

They have a good static selection on the menu and always have fantastic specials, like chicken and rice (really good). The people are friendly and the food is fast. “This is the funniest place I've eaten at in a long long time. Funny might not be the right word. Just everything about it is funny to me. I lived in Bridgeton for a few months many years ago and a local friend brought me here to eat. I finally got to return with my wife and I was so relieved to find the same little shop in the back just where I remembered it being. My memories were not fabricated after all. You go into what seems like a regular store and find a small taco shop in the back. You expect it to be empty, but many locals are here having a lunch. There is no menu and you are only greeted by a daily specials board. As you wonder about how long it's been since the specials board was updated, a boy who looks like he should be in middle school takes your order. Five or ten minutes pass and your food is ready. You paid less than you should for how much food they give you. You eat the food. The food is way better than it deserves to be and you wonder if it's just because you're in a dinky taco shop in the back of an unsuspecting market in a small town in southern New Jersey... the most random place to find a decent taco shop. But as you continue eating you realize that no, the food really is delicious. You eat tacos every week at a minimum and you know your tacos. And these tacos do not disappoint. In fact, they are great quality, large servings, and have a nice char to the meat that sets them apart from most tacos you've eaten in recent memory. Even the salsas are yummy and fit the different meats perfectly. lengua, milaneza, bistek, carnitas... Dangit I could keep writing but I've probably already lost you. If you're ever in the area... like if you're in Atlantic City and will be driving anywhere that would put you within 20 miles of this place, you absolutely owe yourself the favor of eating here. There are so many (oral) menu items I wish I could have tried, and I expect they'd all impress me just as much as those dang tacos did. My goodness what a good meal we had. “Went to this Acme bakery tonight after having a horrible experience at the Acme in Pennsville and the lady (Shannon) was very friendly and super helpful. Even though she didn’t work in the bakery she did her best to help us out. She went above and beyond and we truly appreciate her willingness to help us.”
“Probably one of the better Acme's that I will shop at as it is not too small and not too big plus only 15 minutes or less from home. The aisles are never crowded with a lot of empty boxes and stuff though once in a while when there are a lot of shoppers there it might be a little tight around some of the displays that vendors have set up in the aisle especially when you get people who feel the need to take up the entire aisle with their cart while they try to decide what to have for dinner as they look at every item in an area blocking one side with their cart and the other side with their body. I would also recommend shopping during the day when most kids are in school and will not be wreaking havoc in the aisles quite as much as they do just before dinner. The employees here are from what I have always seen friendly and willing to chat with you about whatever comes to mind for whatever reason and are also usually quite knowledgeable about the items found in their weekly sale flyer especially when details about the sale might be a little confusing.”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
