“I attended many gyms before but none like Max! I started training with them a year ago and it was the best decision I could have made! I feel super motivated, the trainers are always eager to teach me how to do my exercises correctly. What I love most is our daily exercise routines because they are different every day which encourages us to not want to miss any day of training. “Late Review: I visited in May 2022. The crossfit instructor and people here were all amazing. Very friendly, helpful, and competitive, and the gym was beautifully kept. Made me wish I lived nearby so I could become a member. After my amazing experience here, I decided to search out a crossfit gym closer to home in hopes that it might replicate the fun I had here. I still enjoy every bit of the training where I'm currently located and still look back fondly at my time at JSA Gym (enough to remember I forgot to leave my review!)Definitely will return if I'm back in the area!”

“Critical Mass is the best gym I have found in my life. I have been training with Ken for over 5 years. Ken brings his “A” game when he comes to the gym everyday. His enthusiasm and level of energy is something that can’t be matched.Some say you lose muscle as you age, I say BS! In my 40s, I am stronger than I have ever been and I have done it safely and injury free under the guidance of Ken’s training. Before Ken, I didn’t know what a gada or steel mace was. Now, Ken helped me to be strong enough to swing a 56 lbs mace.Critical Mass is not your traditional gym. The equipment and most importantly the people set it apart. I have met nothing but good people in the gym and we follow each other on social media and support our respective fitness goals.As a bonus, Coach Ken is a great DJ and plays what you want to hear during personal training sessions.”

“I LOVE the variety of the workouts at Platform. Class is always different and never boring. Coach Ryan and Coach Nikki challenge and motivate me to do my best. They also care deeply and will modify movement if you are unable. The facility is clean with ample parking. The other members are friendly and fun!”

“I am not a crazy, dedicated athlete. I have always struggled with my weight. I rarely worked out and when i did, i thought it was all about lifting weights and sweating! I was a busy, working mom just trying to not feel so run down. I met Jon about 20 years ago when he was a trainer at a local gym. He was never about crazy cardio and “no pain no gain”. He was about function and proper alignment and technique. Id love to say that i stuck with him- i moved on, thought i could do just as well by myself- i was busy, after all! I always ended up back.Im now 54, having suffered a serious injury and i can honestly say that without Jons guidance and training, i would have ended up with surgery and likely not walking without pain. My core is strong and with Jon’s exercises, i can feel the difference EVERY DAY.This is not a magical pill but dedication to wanting to feel better and be better. I have a lot of life left and with Jon, I can make it healthy and strong- not weak and deflated! Thankyou Jon for all that you have done, i truly appreciate you!”

“Swim Coach Linda is amazing ! Highly recommend for your child for swim lessons! My daughter started at 4 years old and couldn’t swim due to covid set backs. Within a month, she had my daughter swimming with proper form and confidently. She still takes private lessons with her and is going to be on a swim team soon. She is very professional, incredibly patient, on time and keeps kids engaged. All around - Amazing swim instructor. 100% Five stars.”

I also like how the coaches tell you exactly what to do so it keeps you moving without wasting time, making the most out of one hour. The energy in the room and music help keep you going and alert. “JSFS is the gym I was looking for but didn't even know it. After cycling through other chain gyms in the area, this place was recommended by a friend and I never looked back. Versatile range of equipment, excellent staff, clean, rarely crowded, and never a problem - not once in 5+ years of membership. Even the other members know what a gem it is and treat it as such. Ownership here is hands on and makes you feel welcome.”

“I joined the pit as a member in 2019 when it first opened. The gym is well run, organized, and clean. They’re always upgrading equipment and has a very friendly community. I’ve been in strength sports for 10+ years and this gym has everything you need for strongman, powerlifting, or olympic weightlifting. It also has a very welcoming environment to general population and the average gym goer. 100% would recommend to anyone in the Monmouth County area.”

“Next Level Fit has an amazing youth program specializing in agility and conditioning training. I have been taking my son there since he was 7 yrs old. He plays football and lacrosse. Mark (owner and head trainer) works with the kids and teaches them the proper way to exercise and to get the most out of their workout. Each sports uses different parts of your body and muscles and he is excellent in showing the kids how body mechanics works and how to apply these to prevent injuries. If you haven’t tried his program yet, I highly recommend it...adults and children.”
