“I brought my last dog there Eddy when he had a tumor on his foot. She did an absolute excellent job. The tumor was huge and he was almost 13 the time. His recovery went well and there was no scar. Unfortunately he had to be euthanized in August due to CHF. He was 16 and he was suffering. However, he lived a long healthy life because of this vet. I now bring my new Pitbull there Buddy who is 2 years old. He was a rescue from Texas and she is treating his heartworm with absolutely now issues. I take him there religiously and he absolutely loves the staff. I've never met a dog that loved the vet until Buddy. I have no idea why anyone would give this place a bad review. The staff is great...the vets are great and the prices are reasonable. Highly reccomend this place”

“Dr. Mammas has been caring for my dog, Lucy for her entire life. Last night he was like a superhero and I am forever grateful. She underwent emergency surgery and got many stitches. He was fast and did a fantastic job.”

“I'm on an extended visit with my family in Bayonne and one of my dogs got an eye infection. I've lived in Los Angeles for 25 years where we have truly human-grade medical care for pets so I wasn't sure what to expect in Bayonne. Wow was I impressed. This is a wonderful hospital. We got a same-day appointment which was really nice of them because they were busy. Every single staff member was kind and courteous and caring and professional. Once we got into the exam room we had to wait about 20 minutes and the super-nice tech came in to apologize and explain they'd had an emergency. I certainly understood and didn't care, but not every place bothers to explain what's going on. Dr. Povol came in and I loved him. He was incredibly thorough, explained everything. I saw another review where he was described as no-nonsense and I'd basically agree but he's kind and was laughing at the ridiculous histrionics of my other dog who was crying because he wasn't getting all the attention (!). I will absolutely return, my other dog can get cold laser treatments on his back and needs a dental. On top of everything else, the bill was a fraction of what I would pay in LA or at other hospitals around here. They even have their own garage for parking! Worth every penny and I recommend this hospital with 5 glowing stars. I came here because of the great reviews; there were some negative ones on Yelp that were from 2-4 years ago and they DO NOT reflect the experience I had. You will always find someone who had a terrible experience and write a review. Most times when people are happy they just go about their business, but when people are upset they are quick to post a review. I TOTALLY recommend this hospital.”

“Dr. Snarski at Bayonne Animal Hospital saved our cat Piper’s life. We came in with concerns on Monday, and by Wednesday they found a way to fit Piper in for a same-day surgery. Their swift action to save our cat ensured she made a full recovery. From the moment we walked in, we were met with compassion, calm, and a deep sense of care. Dr. Snarski made us feel supported and confident, even in one of the scariest moments we’ve faced as pet parents.

Piper has always been labeled as “feisty” or “difficult” by other vets, but not here. The staff and other vet techs—especially Dakota, Amanda, and Jackie—referred to her as an angel. It meant so much to us, and we truly believe that their gentle, respectful handling made all the difference in how she responded. She was treated with kindness and patience every step of the way.

Not only did they take our concerns seriously, they also worked with us financially without compromising her care. Piper made a full recovery, and we know we have this incredible team to thank.
