“I brought my Sphynx cat, Nyusha, to Dr. Max Lotovsky yesterday, and this visit left a much bigger impression on me than I expected.
Absolutely wonderful lady at the front desk was so genuinely warm and welcoming that we immediately felt comfortable. The entire team was kind and caring, and when I became emotional during the visit, they were incredibly supportive and even managed to make me laugh.
Dr. Lotovsky spent a significant amount of time with me, patiently answering my many questions and explaining everything thoroughly. What I appreciated most was that I never felt pressured into additional tests or procedures just to increase the bill. He recommended only what he felt was actually necessary and took the time to explain why.
His honesty really stood out to me. He explained that the procedure my cat may need would be less traumatic with a CO₂ laser than with the equipment currently available at his clinic. Although the CO₂ option is not currently available there, he recommended that approach because he genuinely believed it would be better for my cat. He could have simply proceeded with the equipment he had, but he chose to put my cat’s well-being first.
After some very disappointing experiences with veterinary clinics in the past, I don’t give my trust easily. Dr. Lotovsky earned mine.

“So grateful to Adam the vet tech , the friendly people at the front desk and Dr. Nunemacher for taking such sweet care of my 6 yr old cat Purnie. Although the office is not in my neighborhood, I specifically sought this veterinary office out because they have reasonable prices. Complete blood and urine Tests are not inexpensive. No way around that, but the care with which they were done was obvious and made it less of a trauma for Purnie. My experience was all Very calm and caring, and of course thorough. Got a full blood work up and urine taken, nails trimmed, vaccines done, tutorial on how to brush teeth all while the Dr. explained everything and answered every single question which made us feel valued. No sense of being rushed.
Highly recommend this office , especially having had bad experiences at other high priced boutique offices. Appreciate that they are open second Saturdays. it was not crowded during the time I was there. great management.”

Dr. Kudman and his team is just awesome. The front desk is the sweetest and the veterinary assistants are all very friendly. Dr. Kudman very honest with the charges to ensure there aren't any surprise charges. Also he doesn't pressure you do any procedures that may not be necessary. As a first time fur mommy, I was very worried when my little Tof first kept sneezing as a baby (not a common cold). Dr. Kudman gave a few possible reason of it and what are possible options if in continues. And funny thing is Dr. Kudman is actually allergic to cats but still showed great care to our little Tof.
They do grooming and other services.”

I brought my Siberian kitten here and they have helped me navigate her care and testing for various congenital conditions. Good to have pet insurance. It's costly to be thorough but worth it for the peace of mind especially when it comes to your fur baby. While there are a few options in this neighborhood I went with BHVH for my kitten's care because I wanted to work with a neighborhood business close to my apartment. The service is truly great. BHVH is a gem in the ever-expanding shopping mall that's taking over the neighborhood.”

He is also very passionate about what he does for a LIVING..WE ALL KNOW HE'S GOING TO HEAVEN ONCE HE COMPLETES HIS JOURNEY. ALL THE ANIMALS HE CARED FOR N TREATED HAS A SPECIAL BOND WITH HIM. “This is a wonderful veterinary practice. Nothing wrong with the others we've used in this part of Brooklyn, but Heart of Chelsea Park Slope is small, personal, and excellent in ways we always appreciate.
The problem with human healthcare is that it so often defies common sense and common decency—making us unhappy, disgusted, and less healthy.
Heart of Chelsea is incredibly commonsensical. For one, they communicate openly and clearly—in person, and by phone, email, and text. Responsiveness goes such a long way to ameliorating the anxiety and hassle of healthcare. There's no unbreakable cone of silence there. If you have a question or a problem, someone calls you back. If your regular vet isn't available, you see or talk to another one. We love our pup's usual vet, Dr. McNulty, but all those we've seen are great, including fill-in vets covering for vacations and at off hours.
I will say that vet care in Brooklyn is insanely expensive. That's not Heart of Chelsea; it's just a reality. What I appreciate is the care with which they outline costs and discuss options with what's best for your pet and what's financially possible for you in mind.
Our dog develops a lot of tartar and thus gum disease. Twice yearly cleanings at $1200 per, which is half what it was at our other vet, didn't really work for us. Dr. McNulty told us to use a water additive and brush her teeth and showed me how. I do it at least every other day, and she hasn't needed a cleaning since. Do we love the daily toothbrush? Not especially. Is it worth it to save $15,000 or $20,000, and lots of discomfort, over the course of her life? Obviously.
The veterinary assistants are great. The administrative staff are friendly and efficient. They have and can immediately dispense the majority of things they prescribe. There's no wasted time there.
I can't recommend Heart of Chelsea Park Slope highly enough.”

“Can't say enough good things about Prospect Park Animal Clinic -- we came here to get an international health certificate for my cat and the entire process was so smooth and easy. The staff was so helpful about scheduling, organizing, following up, and keeping things organized; and both vets we saw (Dr. Gerber and Dr. Silverman) were so kind with my cat. The prices were also extremely reasonable, especially compared to other vet offices in the city. Overall, my cat and I had a really positive experience here and I would highly recommend it to other people (for international health certificates and otherwise).”
