“Great selection of clothing and accessories. Last summer I bought a little black dress, a watermelon hued maxi-dress, cute shorts and a French woven bag that I love. The year before was an even bigger score: exotic, flowing beach gown, my favorite wide-brimmed straw hat, sea blue shorts set and more. You never know what you'll find. “This was my first visit to the yellow door in Lakewood. I have been a visitor to the Yellow Door in Brooklyn for many years. I say ‘visitor’ because shopping at the Yellow Door has always been about more than a transaction. Yes, they have beautiful things, gifts, jewelry, at a wide range of price points. But more than that, the people who help you are really helpful without being overbearing. It’s a little piece of shopping therapy. “Cassidy at East Meets West in the Ocean County Mall helped me have the best shopping experience I’ve ever had at that particular store, and yes, of course I am older and have been shopping there since EMW opened in the mall forever-ago; however, I am pretty confident that nobody who has ever helped me there has displayed such a sincere and appreciable degree of enthusiasm. I told her I was going to pick up a couple of items and maybe she could think of a recommendation based on what I already enjoyed and was about to purchase. Well, lol, for one thing, there was no hesitation, lol again, and instead of saying, “Oh, you’ll probably like this one,” and pointing at it from across the store, she smiled and wanted to help. I was honestly surprised by her reaction, and the immediate action she took by walking me over to the product she was recommending. “Very eclectic store. Lots of off the wall items and unusual foods (flavored olive oils, different pastas, jams, jellys, etc). You can find some good buys but some things are a bit expensive. But they are unusual. Worth a trip to look around.”
“Transformed a closet in our new 70s home - love it so much I plan to do another closet or another wall behind bed. You just have to make sure you line up patterns. I tried to round a corner which was not smartest endeavor causing the last 2 pieces on side to be impossible to be wrinkle free. But the back wall came out close to perfect. Wanted to practice on a closet first.”

“I purchased a living room set from Value City over the holiday weekend and it was one the best sales experiences I have had. Their Sales Associate Brenda assisted me and she went above and beyond to help me ensure that I was buying the right furniture for my space rather than selling me the bigger package I originally wanted. She and team were very friendly. Delivery happened quickly and went very well. The furniture is so comfortable and looks great. I highly recommend them!”

“Went to the Tom's River store today and my wife fell in love with a beautiful penny tile for our shower floor. needed about 13 of them but there were only a few on the shelf. Asked an associate if they had any in the back and the first associate said that there was apparently stock but could not find them. Decided to ask a store rep before we checked out. His name was Joel. Joel went into the back and was gone for about 10 minutes. When he appeared he was holding a box of the tile we wished to purchase. He told us that he scoured the warehouse and ultimately found the box on a pallet that had arrived the other day but had yet to be placed in its final home. Joel is truly a super star and the store management should be luck they have such a courteous and conscientious worker. They are hard to find now a days. My recommendation is you promote this gentlemen, and use his work ethic as an example to all.”

“This place is aces. I live locally and swing by to pick up natural mulch, river rocks and soil in the back of my truck whenever I need it. Dustin is super careful when he loads the product so that my vehicle doesn't get damaged and he doesn't over load me. He even moves it out of my view so I can see out the back on my way home. I recently had them deliver 7 yards of natural mulch to the house so I didn't have to keep going back and forth. The guys are great, friendly and happy to help. I will always recommend them.
