“I would like to gatekeep this place. I don’t want anyone else to know how peaceful it is. How nicely the gravel crunches under your feet in the garden. The way soft jazz music floats thru the property, or how good it smells. How close it is to a really lovely stretch of beach.I don’t want anyone else to know any of those things, because I want to be able to come back to this place and soak all of it up again and again. So don’t go. Or if you go, I hope you hate it. Unfortunately, I’m sure you won’t.”

“My wife and I had a wonderful stay at The Inn At The Shore. The room was perfect- clean and spacious with a queen bed and bathroom. Linda and Bill were super accomdating and will treat you like part of their family. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with an open menu and a spread of juices, fruit, and yogurts. Bill will make you anything you can think of and will knock it out of the park (Eggs Benedict highly recommended) My wife and I spent most of our time on the Porch but if inside is more of your thing the Great Room has everything you could need- pool table, TV, music area, and games. A guest fridge, microwave, and water cooler are available which we were grateful for on a hot summer day. Bill and Linda's attention to detail and vast experience in the hospitality business really shine through here. We can't wait to come back!”

“I had the most delightful stay at the Anna Ocean Grove! The last-minute decision for a virtual retreat led me to this charming Homie hotel, and it exceeded all expectations. Keith, the groundskeeper, went above and beyond with exceptional service, from accommodating an early check-in to preparing a delicious French toast breakfast for all guests. The homely atmosphere created a warm and wonderful experience, making me eagerly anticipate my return - I can only imagine the magic it holds during the summer!!”

“It's such a great location and the bar is awesome. The rooms are very clean but a bit outdated bathroom. Still a great choice. The food is decent but not the late night pizzas.”

“My husband and I went for lunch today. The service and food, both great. Our waitress, Maria, was fantastic. I was torn between ordering two different items from the menu and she gave me her opinion which really helped. She was attentive and personable.I ordered the Mediterranean salad without the cheese and added the grilled chicken. It came out exactly how I asked and was absolutely delicious. The lemon dressing is quite addictive just as Maria described! The view of the ocean just took it over the top. It was a weekday lunch, but felt like we were on a vacation. We will definitely be back!”

“We used Pt Pleasant Manor for our wedding hotel block in early November. The staff were incredible! We booked the entire place for at least 1 night and they went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel welcome. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Despite no vacancy, no one had issues with parking. We definitely recommend staying here!”

“We were at the Asbury which is a fabulous site for a wedding. The hotel was beautifully and playfully decorated for Christmas. After party was at the bowling alley. Rooms very basic with a cute record player. Great location...near beach and boardwalk. Halls are all banged up...need sprucing. Staff nice...but overwhelmed with three weddings going on plus a New Year's party. They need more staff when there are so many guests. To order food, a coffee, or find out where ice was...any query a 10-15 minute ordeal. Checking in...also took way too long. Lots of fun music going on here. A hotel designed for fun. Our granddaughters' first hotel experience ever...worked out nicely due to a superb wedding venue.”

“Upon check in, I was greeted by the nicest man, who was funny and super friendly. He quickly gave me instructions about breakfast and with a smile, had me on my way to my room. The room was very clean, on the small side but it was just me so it was fine. It had a king bed, a small table and 2 chairs, a closet area w luggage rack, a fridge, tv, bedside tables, etc. The bathroom was cute, very 60s/70s looking but nice. I noticed it was very warm in the room. The thermostat said 82. I decided to turn the heat off completely as I was going into town and like to sleep cold. Upon return to the room some 4 hours later, the room was still 82 degrees and way too warm. I felt the radiators and they were still churning out the heat. I tried turning on the AC to cool the place down but it wasn't working. The radiators kept heating. So I went to the office and was met by a man who was on his personal phone. He spoke very little English and at first didn't understand the issue. He thought I was saying it was too cold. He tried to get me to give up and leave. When I wouldn't, he started loudly arguing with me. I told him I couldn't sleep in a room that warm, and then he told me it was "out of his hands." Really? There are 4 cars in this parking lot. I think it's wholly within your hands. When I wouldn't acquiesce and let him return to his phone call, he grudgingly came to the room for a look. He saw that I had it set to cool but the heat was still on. He then grudgingly went to the office and got a new key to the room right next door and let me in there. The temperature was fine. It took a bit for the heat to get going but I was totally fine with that. After that things were fine. I would stay here again but I would hope to be able to encounter the first kind man, not the other.”

“The Salt Water Inn was the best place to stay for our girls weekend! It was close to all the necessary spots (bars, beach, etc). Joshua was so sweet and accommodating to us even when we were a little loud and rowdy. Definitely will be back and recommend for your trip to the shore!”

“One of the best experiences this year. I live half my time in Marriott Hotels. This is by far the best. Gary welcomes you with an amazing smile. Christina Martinez and Laura Zahorbenski are also amazing! The food in the lounge is the best!”

“Been there at least 7 or 8 times once with a party of 8. Food and drinks have always been good. Have eaten at the bar a number of times and Patrick the bartender always makes you feel comfortable. Would recommend it for any type of meeting large or small. Plenty of parking. Joe ”

“ReviewWe stayed for a week at the end of June 2023. The hotel was recently bought by a company that owns resorts further south. We were told this is their first boutique hotel. It seems that so far they are keeping the beautiful and quaint aspects of this location. Pros ⁃ Amazing location: right across the street from the water. You have an access badge to Spring Lake beach. A few blocks from the downtown area for good restaurants. On site restaurant is good but gets a bit loud (Amelia's by the Sea). ⁃ Room 15 was good: we had our own spacious bathroom and it was at the end of the hotel. Bright and clean. No view but relatively quiet and large closet. Comfortable bed with super soft bedding. ⁃ AC worked! ⁃ Bikes available (fun) and even golf cart for town trips. ⁃ Alison, the manager is a gem. She is from here and had good tips. We enjoyed visiting some lighthouses she recommended. ⁃ Bikes, beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas all free and plentiful. Cons or Meh ⁃ Street parking: seems some rooms have designated spots on site. For the rest of us, parking on street during day and across the street in the diagonals at night. We always found spots but wondering how it gets during the busier summer time. ⁃ No real lobby or chill area. Outside there are chairs and umbrellas. Adding tables would be nice. Next door at The Breakers hotel we notice huge wrap around porch that had rocking chairs and other seating looking at them sea for guests. They also have a pool!Tips for eating around the area...Downtown Spring Lake walking distance and great dining selections. Honey Berry was our "go to" breakfast place - everything was tasty but my favorite was Heavenly Bliss eggs. (Marigold was further away from downtown but good for breakfast and not as crowded.) SL Seafood was great, as was the SL pizza and Belle's ice cream (gelati was the best). Dunes Donut and Bagels delish. The Scone Pony amazing but get there early; if there is a long line, it's worth the wait. The chorizo and cheese ball breads at Nick's & Son bakery good to take to beach.”

“I had an absolutely delightful stay at this charming hotel! From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The warm and inviting ambiance of the place immediately put me at ease. The highlight for me was the lovely porch, where I could unwind with a cup of coffee on weekends while soaking in the serene surroundings. Speaking of coffee, the breakfast spread was simply delicious, and it made for a perfect start to my days.Location-wise, it's a mere block away from the beach, making it incredibly convenient for a leisurely stroll or a day by the ocean. And when it was time to retire to my room, I found it to be well-appointed, comfortable, and impeccably clean. All in all, this hotel offers a wonderful blend of hospitality, amenities, and a great location. I can't wait to return for another relaxing get away!”

“My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful. The restaurant was excellent and so were the cocktails. We ate breakfast there everyday. While exploring one day, we ran into some monkeys on the grounds and also some cool birds.I’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get away and really enjoy some r&r. We spent a lot of time doing activities around Monteverde but also spent a lot of time in our room enjoying the view.I’d also definitely recommend breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Very good!”

“Towels in the wash cloth could be a little and I've seen a few roaches there other than that I guess it's okay but I don't like roaches and none of the maid speak English and that is so unfair to the Americans that are living here and patronizing your establishment they'd never hire anyone other than Mexicans I wonder why and sometimes the maids don't even change the sheets they think we don't know but we now”

“One of us in our family has severe allergies to dogs and cats, and it seems every hotel is pet friendly these days. Even when they don’t allow pets, they allow “service animals” and those have increased greatly in numbers of late, so we have increasing difficulties finding places where an allergic person can breathe and get a good night’s sleep. This Homewood Suites in Eatontown was that place for us on this trip. Despite being pet friendly, our unit was spotlessly clean and free of any pet odor whatsoever. Kudos to the housekeeping staff, and most importantly, to the person who actually paid attention to the request on the reservation where we had expressed our needs, and followed through. It made a world of difference to us.”

“We came for a sport event with a group of teenagersMy review is based on 2 thingsMary Kay at the front desk made what could be a situation and very nice turnout and experience to all. We were very well treated and the hotel won a new client because of that. The breakfast is very generous and varied. The rooms are nice and clean however they have a wearer issue with the air conditioning that apparently can't be fixed.I still believe the service deserves the 5 stars”

“I’m from FL but I travel for work. Since I came to Jersey I’ve been staying at this location and I’ve stayed there for about four months. I can honestly say out of all the places I’ve been and stayed this one is by far the best. Linda(head of the crew), Alex, Jackie and the rest of the crew is what team work look like; professionalism, above and beyond, great communication, friendliness, caring and all in one making sure your experience there is comfortable and relaxing. Linda is such an amazing person every time I saw her she always put a smile on my face and Jackie have one of the most brightest smiles at the front desk waiting on you lol. Also housekeeping does an amazing job shout out to you guys and I hope Linda sees the hard work you guys do. Overall it an amazing place to stay because the staff there will make you feel like you’re at home.”

“Had to book a last minute stay and everyone here was so accommodating The housekeeping was extremely friendly as was everyone at the front desk. I never ate in the dining area but they had so many options at reasonable prices. The lobby had everything we needed in the small shop so we didn’t have to run out for any snacks or necessities. Bathroom and bedroom fully stocked with soaps, towels, etc. Another plus was that they are dog friendly, they even had little complimentary dog treats at the front desks. While the hotel room was extremely nice and the entire place was well kept, the employees definitely made our experience! I cant thank you guys enough and we will definitely be returning!”

“Awful awful awful. The room was absolutely horrible. Smelled stale, and musty. Dirty bathroom, bed sheets were questionable and the carpets were absolutely Fithy. Sofa and couch in the room were stained, old, Dirty, and just plain filthy. The lamp shades were filled with dust and hair, the ice bucket had dirt in it. Never been so disappointed, grossed out and plain uncomfortable in a motel in my entire life. The owners should be ashamed actually charge people to stay here. Never again. You would be more comfortable sleeping in your car. Worst motel. Absolutely horrific.”
